Time seemed to stop when the others saw the fur Elijah showed them. Sofia widened her eyes in surprise while Marquess Flint looked stiff for an instant. No one spoke for a while. Elijah continued to stare at Marquess Flint, waiting for what kind of reaction the man would give them.

"Ah... you must be confusing animal fur with that of the werebeast race, Mr. Elijah. Weiss often brings cats to the mines. So naturally, its fur would be left behind in this place, right?"

Marquess Flint looked at Weiss, who was standing next to him, where Weiss immediately spoke up when he was stared at so coldly by his master.

"Of course, Mr. Elijah! Ah, it's a pity I didn't bring my cat today. If I had, I would have told you what a cute cat I have."
