"I just heard," Eve began the moment she walked into Max's study. "The King and Queen are attending tonight's festivities?" she inquired, her brows furrowed as she looked at Max. She was referring to the Blood Bonding Ceremony scheduled for later that night. Ophelia had not informed her about the King and Queen's attendance.

"In fact, I have just been notified that most of the nobles, as well as the leaders of the covens, will be here tonight," Maximilian responded. "I was coming to speak with you about it."

"Drinking my blood could be fatal for you," Eve said. "It would be excruciating…"
