Capítulo 35: As Weak as Grass

"Henrik she is—"

"A human?" Henrik snorted. "Are you willing to do it?"

"Of course," Eve answered with confidence. This was her chance to have a place to study magic, and she wouldn't let this opportunity pass her by.

"Then let's do it when you pass the next week's evaluation."

"Why not do it now?"

"What?"

Eve arched her brows. Then she smiled at him. "Scared?"

"I believe this is enough." Max intervened. "You are not-"

"But- "

"Enough," Max said firmly. He then looked at Eve and smiled. "He is leaving."

"What about the laboratory?"

"I can give you dozens of them."

Eve blinked.

Henrik side-eyed Max. "I will be waiting outside," he said. Then before leaving, he looked at Eve. "I will remember this insult."

Eve felt the need to clarify to the vampire that she wasn't trying to insult him.
