My breath grew sharper; his face hovered just a few inches away from me. I lost hold of all my senses as his sandalwood scent overwhelmed them all.
Involuntarily, I let out a small gasp of air before gulping, and peered at his continuously darkening eyes and diluting pupils.
Oh God- this man is doing things to me.
Tightly clutching the bedsheets in my fist, I pulled my lower lip between my teeth and bit it.
...
Oh my God, I swear that was purely instinctual and coincidental and not at all on purpose.
Ah, what am I doing?
Losing my damn mind, that's what.
His jaw clenched at my action and the veins running down his hands and arm popped up, melting me completely on the inside.
Control your hormones, Sera!
"What do you know about my prophecy?"
His voice wa- What??
"You have a prophecy too?" My eyes went wide with wonder. And also excitement for some reason.
We both have a prophecy! How cool is that? "Looks like you don't," He nodded his head to himself, "Then what did you see in your vision?"
Yes, those cryptic visions. The reason I fainted, and which most probably is my ability as a Lycan. Awesome.
I scrunched up my face as I tried to recall and differentiate through the many glimpses when one of them stood out the most, and I felt myself buckle over from the pressure.
My head fell on his hard chest and I clutched his shirt in my hand, obviously purely by accident and not because I saw the chance and seized it. Absolutely not...
His warm hands placed themselves on my shoulders, sending tingly sensations all over me.
"Hey, you alright?" His concern filled voice reached my ears as I sorted out the memory.
Please, at this rate, I will faint again.
No kidding.
It wasn't even much, but for some reason, whatever he did or said, made me feel all electric and wild.
"Y-yes, I am fine." Ugh, I just had to fricking stutter.
"Uh, you- no, a war between species. There was a war, and- and a lot of people died. You managed to defeat the main enemy, but someone closest to you had to sacrifice her life. And then- then you started to destroy the world and someone from above descended to kill you."
I took in a big inhale of air as I finished narrating whatever I had seen as best as I could. He looked to be in deep thoughts as he stood back straight, instantly making me miss the warmth and tension, and rubbed his chin with his thumb.
"There is a mention about a person in my prophecy, and I believe that person is you." He leaned down, once again making me feel all giddy on the inside, and his face just a one finger gap away from mine.
"Once we arrive at our pack, we will have to do a test to find out." He nodded to himself before walking off in a corner, probably to mind link with someone.
Woah, woah, woah, woah, wait.
You can not just drop a bomb like that on me and expect me to be fine?
Like?!
We? Our?
Jumping up on my feet, I quickly approached him and stood a couple of steps away from him.
From the midst of his mind link, he glanced at me from the side of his eyes before abruptly cutting the link off.
"Yes?"
"Am I really going to join your pack?" My fists clenched on their own accord.
I heard what he said perfectly. But when you have been led down one too many times by many people, you come to doubt your own self.
"You're a lycan, so yes, you're going to leave this place and join the pack."
Ok, mister smarty pants.
"If I don't want to?"
Ah, f-ck! My eyes widened in regret. That escaped my mouth on its own. I did not want to say that! Oh my- what if he takes that back? Omg, NO!
A sharp gush of wind blew from the window, messing up my hair, and before I could set it, his hand reached me as he tenderly tucked up the hair framing my face behind my ear.
Sksksks, please, that was straight out of a fairytale.
"I will have to convince you to join, then. But just remember one thing, Seraphina,"
OMG HE SAID MY NAME AGAIN!!! Hehehe.
F-ck. I am literally acting like a schoolgirl whose crush just looked at her, and her delusional mind married them in her fantasy.
"I don't give up or share what's mine." His hand, that was still pressed against my ear and neck, patted my cheek and head.
And with a last intense look from his glistening wine-red eyes, and a ghost of a smile on his lips, he left the room, leaving me alone with my thundering heart.
Wait, what the heck did he mean by mine???!!!!
Did he mean me?
Omg, omg, omg, omg, omg, omg, omg, he legit said mine.
He really called me his.
ACK! I clutched my bursting heart as I let out incoherent groans and plopped on the bed.
My rationality and maturity jumped out the window as I died over the fact he called me his, and smiled as I recalled the intensity behind his deep gaze.
Ugh, he probably meant that as his people, and not in the 'other' sense.
...
But why do I want it to be in the other sense?
