Kate's heart felt tight as guilt began to encroach on her.
She quickly turned off the TV and lay weakly on the sofa. She stared at the ceiling, and the image of Henry telling her that he would never let her go was enough to send her heart into a frenzy.
'Why did you say that, Henry? Why can't you let me go?' Kate pondered. 'It's better if you move on as soon as possible so we can close this chapter between us and have a fresh start away from each other, both body and heart.'
'How am I supposed to forget when our hearts are still connected?'
"Mamama…" Theo turned his head to look at his Mom. He seemed to notice the distress that his Mom experienced.
Kate tried to ward off the distress on her face by smiling at her son, "Mama is okay, Theo. That man is not your Papa, so you don't need to think much about it, okay? Your father was a brave and honorable man who died after protecting us."
