Capítulo 8: Chapter-8 First Dungeon 2
[ A/N: I changed the rat dungeon into matagot dungeon]
As Zhao Feng was moving forward, he heard a roar from his behind.
"Krrrrrrrrr!'
Zhao Feng twisted his head to the side, dodging the attack without any damage. He looked at the perpetrator of the attack.
It was a rat-like monster with ten times the size of the normal rat, its both front teeth were sharp as the blade, while its feet were quick on the ground, even its tail was hard as a steel, which kept producing sparks whenever he swung it on the ground.
"Krrrrr! "
The monster was staring at Zhao Feng with his blood red eyes, still it didn't make its move instead it fell back to one of the buildings in ruin.
"Are those matagot?" When he read the description of the dungeon it said matagot, he was confused but when he looked it up on the internet, they were just giant rats.
Zhao Feng was looking at the matagot with interest, he followed it till the entrance of the building. When he reached there he could feel the presence of multiple of the same monsters.
' So, this is their habitat?'
He easily entered the building without any interference from the matagots.
Step… Step…
As he continued moving, he could hear their shrieks from a distance. Once he was deep inside the building, all the matagots came out of the hiding, surrounding him from all the angles. Wherever he would look, he could see blood red eyes staring back at him.
" Krrrrrrrrr! Krrrrrrrrrr! "
All the matagots rushed toward his position, while Zhao Feng was calmly looking at them as if he was looking at harmless puppies.
He took out a dagger from his waist, it was nothing special, just a simple dagger made from the alloy of an F+ rank monster which he bought after he separated from Meng Yue.
He sliced his dagger in the air, the next second three matagots that were closest to him fell into the floor with their head separated from their body.
"Krr-"
For a second every rat stopped on their tracks, looking at the man who killed their mates without even moving.
He pointed his blooded dagger at them," You thought you were the hunters, Lets see how you'll like getting hunted." He had a wide smile on his face as he looked at the rats with his emotionless eyes.
Few minutes later,
Zhao Feng was sitting on a pile of rat corpses, " How can they simply disintegrate?" He narrowed his eyes focusing on the corpses as they kept disappearing without leaving any traces, even the blood spewed on his dagger was disintegrating into particles.
After the disintegration process finished Zhao Feng was left with the pile of the ' F- rank' mana stones.
'What a mystery?! One day I'll find it myself ' He understood that once you have enough strength you could unravel any mystery of the universe, you'll just have to be… strong enough for it.
He collected all the stones in his backpack, then moved on to the next site.
' What the fu*k is this luck!' After searching for the past ten minutes he hasn't been able to find any of the matagots. While he was cursing his luck, he heard a sound of clashing from a distance.
clink* …Clink* …CLINK*'
As he moved closer he could hear the sound of battle getting intense, when he reached the battlefield he was totally shocked by the sight of battle.
"Kar, impact incoming!" said the young man with brunette hair, wearing a bronze armour with a sword in his hand.
"On it!" replied a man with black tone wearing a heavy armour and a heavy shield in his hand.
"Emilia be ready, shoot when Kar collides with the matagot. I'll intercept after it. Try not to miss, we are already low on healing potion."
Boom!
The matagot collided with Kar's shield, the impact from the collision was enough to send Kar flying while on the other hand the matagot was stunned for a good time, which was enough for Emily who shot an arrow coated with all of her leftover mana.
Whoosh!
The arrow pierced the matagot's left foot, taking its mobility out.
Then the young man jumped towards the rat, aiming at its neck.
The rat used its tail to intercept but Kar also jumped with his shield, taking its tail head on.
Boom!
The winner from the collision was of course the matagot but all the momentum in its tail was lost. Taking advantage of the moment the young man sliced its neck.
"Good job guys, let's end it here. " the young man said as he collected the mana stone from the ground.
"Ron, your move was so cool, will you please teach me sometime?" Emily was impressed by his flying move.
'What the fu*k did I watch?!' Feng, who saw all the action from a distance, didn't want to believe his eyes.
'Why the fu*k are they so weak.' He knew that there would be some difference between the same rank awakens but never did he expect them to be so weak.
'Let's go somewhere else.' Seeing that they didn't have any intention to fight, he decided to go onto next target.
After roaming for a while, he finally found another group but their fight was literally the copy of the first group.
' Let's give it a try one last time.' He decided to watch one more fight, if he couldn't find anything interesting then he'll move on.
After another Half an hour of searching, he finally found a group fighting the rat, but the results were the same but watching those fights he understood the root of the problem, ' their quality of ki is sh*t, but why can't they improve it? …Something is wrong.' He knows that something is happening behind the back of the normal citizens.
'Whatever not like it's affecting me.' He wasn't any saint that would soak his feet in mud for the general public who won't even give sh*t in time of need.
'Finally found it.' After fighting some more groups of matagots, he noticed that the disintegrated particles were flowing towards something, after tracking it for 20 minutes he finally found the reason.
Zhao Feng was looking at a matagot which was five times the size of the previous ones. It had spikes covering every inch of his body while its teeth were strong enough to tear steel like a sheet of paper and last but not the least its tail was also covered in spikes.
'Is that ColoColo, what a funny name for the boss.'
Whoosh!
With one swing of its tail, the earth sank a few metres while forming a cob-web crack around its collapse.
Suddenly, the ColoColo turned around, staring at Zhao Feng with its ruby-like eyes.
KEERRRR!!!
It roared and charged at Zhao Feng at full speed, in a few seconds it was a few metres away from him. The ColoColo opened its mouth with the aim to snap Feng's body in half but Feng, quick with his feets move to his left, then aiming the dagger at the eyes of the rat.
In response the ColoColo swung its tail, sending Zhao Feng flying to the nearest wall.
Boom!
The wall, unable to handle the incoming pressure, fell apart on itself burying Zhao Feng inside.
