Capítulo 38: Hail the sound of doom

The celestial contract is an agreement made by the Silver City, Gehenna, and the living world to end the war of exodus. It was split into three pieces and entrusted to three respective hosts on Earth as neither angel nor demon would be able to reach it. They are the holy trinity.

There's the Angelic piece, one that prohibits angels from descending to earth, lest they burn like the demons they despise.

Then there's the mortal piece of the agreement, which renders all contractors incapable of harming humans to keep the once-shattered natural law and peace. They cannot breed, they must not kill and lastly, they must stay true to the agreements they made with the Jinn (contracting demons).

Simply put, if the mortal host dies, contractors would have nothing stopping them from taking over the world. Cliche, yes, but it helps paint a picture.
