Capítulo 142: His Decision

Hours had passed since Ethan secluded himself, avoiding Helena and Diana. He sat on a large rock, gazing at whatever lay in front of him, but his mind was far away, lost in other thoughts.

Ethan knew what Lord Gabriel and Diana were thinking. They weren't just afraid that he might fall into the clutches of an evil wizard. He might actually be the result of that experiment.

The baby's mother might have faked her child's death. Or there could be another story behind it. But what else could explain the peculiarities within him, if not Diana's tale?

Ethan jolted as Helena approached, carrying a bottle of drink. "Have some," Helena said with a faint smile.

"Thank you." Ethan couldn't muster a smile, though he wanted to lift his lips to reassure Helena. But he couldn't hide his shattered feelings at this moment.
