Just then, Louis came out of the bathroom, fresh from shaving with the scent of aftershave lingering.

Seeing Henry, his face shifted a bit, and he asked, flatly, "Why are you here?"

"I heard you got hurt. I was in New York for a big meeting, so I thought I'd come see you," Henry replied, studying Louis, "Is it serious?"

"I'll survive," Louis responded, not bothered.

Henry coughed a bit before saying, "I heard a thief did this to you? Thieves in California are pretty tough, huh?"

"No, someone else is causing trouble for me."

Henry's eye twitched, surprised. "Do you know who?"

Louis smirked a bit, giving Henry a mysterious look. "Either it's the rivals you've made over the years, or it's your favorite older son."

Henry's eyes went cold. "Don't start making things up. Asher couldn't have done this, he's your brother."
