Silence ensued since Luis didn't answer right away. Only the rustling of the leaves and the distant noises of the animals are heard.

"Hoot. Hoot," the sound of an owl echoed nearby. It's eerie song cut through the silence between the three moon elves.

'Are we going to die? Xagrien must offended the moon elf lord. This loud silence... We are going to die, right?'

Ilian is a trembling mess as his mind is playing countless scenarios where the moon elf lord killed them all because of his best friend's impertinence.

'Xagrien! You are supposedly not that talkative, remember?!' Ilian's rant in silence.

It isn't impossible for them to end like those root crawlers underground! He did his best to control his urge to look back. Ilian couldn't help but envy the others who are relaxing under the shade of the trees far from here.
