It's been a few days since my date with Carla, aside from the first day as she stayed in her room all day because of shame, she talked with me and her sister wives all the time.
It seems that Theodora spent the whole evening searching for the most embarrassing videos she could find to tease Carla back in revenge.
That was so petty, I love it.
Anyway, I already gave the command of Shuei back to Issei…..that had to be forced to take it back by his wife who pulled him by the ear into the office.
Oh, and Ivy is making plans to meet her grandfather to see if it is worth it to insert him back into the family, she is just doing this for her father, truth be told, Erina and Alice want nothing to do with him.
Erina also stopped caring about her mother, she regards Leonora and even my mother as her mother figure.
Frankly, I don't care for any of it since it's not my problem, and as long as my family isn't being negatively affected I can ignore most things.
Now I'm back to my normal, at-home, life, which funnily enough is really like my life as a house husband back in my world.
My adoptive parents improved a whole lot in their parenting job, but are still very busy with their actual job, so I have to take care of everything most of the time.
Which doesn't bother me at all.
And so, I was about to enjoy another lazy day, which I like very much, while I was trying hard to not think about it so as to not raise a flag.
???:"CADMUS COME OUT, THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN GET CLOSE TO MY DAUGHTER IS IF I APPROVE OF YOU IN BATTLE."

Well, there was that, fortunately, the rest of the family is out, Mikan took Mea on a girl's trip with Erina, Alice, and Ivy.

Now, the commotion Lala brought to my doorstep is in my living room, I just finished giving tea to everyone.
Cad:"So, first things first, introductions, some of you have heard of me and there is a plus on in this group, so I think is best that we start by knowing each other."
The other people in the room nod in acknowledgment.
Cad:"I will start, my name is Cadmus Yuuki, or as we say here in Japan, Yuuki Cadmus."
As I was the only one standing I decided to be the first, so I introduced myself in a simple manner and in the hope of not generating too much trouble.
The first one to a girl with semi-long purple hair that reaches down to her waist and bangs that barely overlap her red eyes, as well as a semi-straight ahoge, although growing just like Lala, her body is already showing signs that she will be well proportioned.

Medaka:"Kurokami Medaka, youngest of the Kurokami family that commands the world-famous Kurokami group the undefeated genius of the Future Start Japanese program, and future wife of Yuuki Cadmus."

Just like this, this is what I wanted to avoid, that is why I led with a simple introduction, why Medaka why, I was hoping that the scolding I gave her all those years ago would make her become less conspicuous.
Lala:"AH me too, me too, I will marry Cadmus too, I'm Lala Satalin Deviluke, a genius inventor on an intergalactic scale and the first princess of the Devilukean empire that governs this galaxy."
Did Lala just spit some venom at the end to show off in front of Medaka? She spoke in her normal high-energy way and signature happy smile, but those sharp eyes say otherwise.
Medaka narrowed her eyes at Lala.
Gid:"Not if I Emperor Gid Lucione Deviluke not approve of him, let's fight kid, show me the kind of man you are."
I know that I am in my kid form, just like him, but being called a kid by a toddler is a bit of an absurdity.
A toddler with spiky black hair, shark teeth, and red eyes, without forgetting the usual tail present in all Devilukeans.

Cad:"*sips* Calm down, don't shout in the house of others, it is bad manners, if you finished please sit so the young lady at your side can have your turn."
Gid:"Oh sorry."
Like the most normal thing in the world, Gid apologizes and sits and then freezes, Lala and Sephie, Lala's mother, also look at Gid in confusion, stunned because he followed along with my orders.
Cad:"*Ahem* Mrs. Sephie, I believe now it's your turn."
Being snapped out of her surprise by my voice, she snaps her head, back to me and takes a few seconds to recompose herself.
Sephie:"Sephie Michaela Deviluke, Lala's mother and Gid's wife…I knew about me?"
She looked exactly like Sephiria, or Sephira looked exactly like her, only Sephie's hair is pink like her daughters and had a more regal aura instead of Sephiria's warrior's aura. She wears a veil on her face that diluted her Charmian charm.

Cad:"Not exactly, but as Lala, must have told you, I met a person that looks just like you."
Sephie:"Right, I would like to talk to you about that, but first I have a more important question wh–"
Gid:"WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME KID?"
Gid finally, coming out of his trance, tries to get up and rush into me, cutting Sephie off.
Showing his fighting instincts, as Mila was about to intercept him, coming out of the shadow in his blind spot. His tail moved like a spear in an attempt to counterattack her.
She makes a 360 turn dodging his attack and counterattacking with a straight. He held her fist but was pushed a little, showing how much strength Mila have in her skinny arms.
While holding Mila's fist he gave a toothy, shark-like, grin and said to me.
Gid:"You do have some competent subordinate kid, but are you really going to keep sitting there drinking tea and let a woman fight for you?"
He tries to mock me while looking smug.
Cad:"*sips* There is no need to fight when I already won."
That's the thing about hard-boiled people, they more often than not fail to notice key features of their surroundings, in this case, people's reactions.
Gid:"Hoh, do you really think so?"
Looking like a maniac he looks at me as I nod at Mila and she retreats. Let's put some fuel into the fire, I don't like the disrespect that he is showing when he doesn't even know what kind of person I am.
Cad:"*sips* Hey, brat Gid."
Gid:"HAH? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAID?"
While he shouts at me in anger I just keep sipping on my tea, I'm doing this just to annoy of course. but I think now it's time to show him, how foolish he is.
Cad:"*sips* You cut your wife off when it looked like she was going to say something important."
I slowly say that as I look at Sephie who is still sitting at her place, but now, a cold aura is emanating from her as she is looking intently at Gid's back.
Gid:"!!!"
Hahaha, Oh man, his 'Oh Shit' face is priceless, and he is even giving me a 'Hey help me' look.
Well, there's just one thing that I can do in a situation like that.
Putting my hand half hiding my mouth as silently say to him, only moving my mouth without making a sound.
Cad:"You poor thing."
On the other hand, I raised my phone and took a few pictures.
Medaka is confused, not understanding anything that was going on.
Lala had one of the sofa's pillows on her face and she was shaking trying hard to suppress her laughter.
Sephie:"Gid."
She called her husband in a very cold voice.
Gid:"H-hey h-ho-ho-honey, w-what is it?"
He shook as if he was feeling a cold chill in his spine before answering her shakily.
Sephie:"I expressly told you that we would talk first, for now, he is an ally and has valuable information for our safety, our empire's safety, and most important of all, our daughters' safety, have I not?"
Gid:"*gulp* Y-yes, honey, you said it."
Sephie:"And even though you were very impolite when we arrived he still calmly let us in so we could have a proper talk."
Gid:"...yes."
Like a sad puppy, he answered in a soft voice while his tail tilted down.
Sephie:"And now, not only did you cut me off, which you know I really hate, when I was about to discuss a way that we could talk in private, but you also attacked our host in front of a human that doesn't knows about us."
She says the last piece pointing at Medaka, who by this time already had put two and two together. She did look at me when they were talking about empire and galaxy and, maybe seeing my non-reaction, she must have concluded that it was true until a certain point.
Sephie:"It looks like you are forgetting your place as a ruler since it is like and I have been doing your job for such a long time I think I will take a small vacation and let you deal with all the political issues.
Gid:"Oh no."
Sephie:"You will be helped by my trusted people and they will tell you what to do, you will only have to play nice and of course, they will give me a daily reports so I can see how are you doing."
Gid:"...."
Sephie:"You are also sleeping on the couch."
At this point, Gid already had an empty look while watching the paint on the wall, just standing there like a statue.
Good, your suffering pleases me.
Sephie:"I apologize for my husband's behavior Mister Cadmus."
Cad:"Oh no, please, Mrs. Sephie you don't have to apologize for anything and please, just Cadmus, I'm already friends with your daughter so there is no need to be that formal with me."
Sephie:"Then please, just calm me Sephie, for what my daughter said, you may become more than friends in the future."
She looked at Lala who avoided looking at her mother while blushing, Medaka looked at this while narrowing her eyes, it looks like she is waiting for her turn.
Sephie:"But I do have to ask, what did you do with my husband for him to listen to you?"
Cad:"Nothing much, kids are smart, and if you treat them as equal while showing a strong, no-nonsense, stance most of them tend to follow along and you did not make them feel lesser, and no child wants to be in trouble."
Sephie:"Be he is not a child."
She said it while frowning.
Cad:"He chooses to be in the form of a child and since he can enjoy the perks he also has to go through its restriction."
As I speak in a matter-of-fact voice, Sephie put her finger on her shin and thinks for a few seconds, and then looks at Gid as if she had an epiphany, Gid again shook in a cold chill.
Sephie:"I see, Thank you for the inspiration, I would like some of your time later to discuss more serious matters."
Cad:"That is no problem at all, I do have things to share with you anyway."
Sephie:"For now, the only thing we have to discuss is your relationship with my daughter."
Cad:"I sincerely don't know what are you talking about, I clearly stated to her that we would be only friends if she just wanted me to be her fiance to resolve her problems."
Lala:"Ehhh, you do it for Ivy."
She tries to argue in her happy tone, but I can detect the annoyance in her voice.
Cad:"Ivy is my wife and although she does dump on me things that annoy her she also takes care of things that annoy me, and she has the good sense that not everything can be given to me to resolve."
I explain to Sephie in a bored tone while Lala was sticking her tongue at me from behind her mother's back. Seriously tho, I do like Lala, and her childish behavior doesn't bother me as I also do things like that.
And I can understand why she wants to make me her fiance even if she doesn't love me yet, I'm a trustworthy person that wouldn't take advantage of her and it would take a load of her since I would have to share her burden.
But that's the thing, I only share the burden of my family, and while I understand her side and I know despise the way she is saying, she wouldn't just drop everything on my shoulders and leave, she is not part of my family…..at least not yet.
Sephie:"I see it looks like my daughters did inherit something from my husband aside from monstrous strength."
Sephie comments while looking at Lala who this time didn't try to fool around and only scratches the back of her head in embarrassment while cold sweat drops from her forehead.
Cad:"*sigh* Really Lala, I help you and give you advice to improve your relationship with your family and that's how you repay me?"
She flinches and widens her eyes, though as much, she took the decision thinking that both of us would gain something from it but didn't think too deeply about it.
She has a guild face now, a genuine one, but I don't care, I do enjoy her company and think that she would be a great friend, but she has to know and respect my boundaries.
Well, it's not like she did it out of malice so as long as she apologizes I'm ok.
Lala:"I'm sorry Cadmus, I didn't think about how would you feel about it."
I nod in approval showing that she is forgiven, good, I don't want to sour our relationship, and while I don't want to have a pure profit base relationship with her there is no denying that being friends with a princess is quite advantageous.
And she is a good girl overall, I have nothing against being friends with people like her.
Sephie had been quiet this whole time, looking at our interaction and I can see a warm smile every time the wind slightly raises her veil.
Gil is still in his dead state.
And now, the other issue that came knowing on my door, Medaka, had her head lowered, her eyes hidden by her bangs, and had a grim semblance.
Cad:"So Medaka what are–"
Medaka:"Are you really married?"
Cad:"You disappear for all those years, doesn't even write or call and now you think you have any right to demand an answer about my private life?"
She flinches and bit he lower lip, sigh, it looks like she didn't change that much, she still has this way of looking down on everyone, I knew that growing up in an environment where she was hailed is the best thing since sliced bread would majorly affect her ego.
She looks at me with a serious face, as if she had all the right to ask, but the little teardrops on the corner of her eyes betray her.
Cad:"Well since you are done I think it is time for you to leave."
But that doesn't matter to me, I never understood why stupid Japanese protagonists just accept being stepped on like that is what a good-hearted person does.
Medaka's personality doesn't bother me in itself, but the fact that she thinks that she can demand any information about my private life it's just a step away from her thinking that she can control my personal life.
And I can't have that.
So I'm showing what is the consequence if she oversteps, if she backtracks I will forgive her and will talk about it, if not, doesn't matter how many god modes she unlocks, she will get a boot to her pretty ass.
I stand up and approach her indicating that I will escort her to the door.
She looks at me with a little loss, but perhaps because of not knowing what to do, or perhaps because of her pride, she unconsciously raises from her seat and makes her way to the door.
Well I guess this will be the end of my relationship with Kurokami Medaka, shame, well what will I do for lunch?
I'm already musing about what to cook for the guess, yes, I've already switched from the fact that Medaka, the main character of her own story and one of the most unfair OP characters in all anime is going to get out, crying, of my house.
She may be a kid but smart enough to know what her actions do, she just doesn't care because she views everybody else as beneath her, this will be a good lesson for her, losing someone she thought could be her friend.
So I just hope that she does better to the next per...….Lala what the hell are you doing?
Lala:"Hey, where are you going, leaving so soon?"
Lala runs up to Medaka and pokes her forearm.
Medaka:"....What do you want."
Medaka answers in an aggrieved voice, still holding back her tears.
Lala:"Oh, I though since you are a friend of Cadmus, you could be my friend too."
Medaka:"I..."
I narrow my eyes as Lala puts her arm across Medaka's shoulder and starts to whisper something in her ear. What are you planning Lala? I could use my sense to hear her but I will let this time.
I don't believe Lala will step too much out of line considering that she had the foresight to apologize earlier.
Medaka keeps nodding to what Lala is saying and when Lala lets her go she promptly turns around and bows to me.
Medaka:"Cadmus I overstepped your bounds and I see that it was wrong of me and for that, I apologize."
Cad:"...Alright."
I look at Lala as she gives me a sweet smile, well whatever, let's see where this going, I will just be keeping my eyes on both of them in case I have to sever all ties.
Let's make lunch.
I motion for Medaka to get back to her seat and go to the kitchen to fix us something.
=========== SEPHIE POV===============
As Cadmus goes to the kitchen Lala comes back to my side while skipping and humming, the girl, Medaka, silently sits on Lala's side and seems more calm now.
Sephie:"Lala."
Lala:"Huh? Yes Mama?"
Sephie:"Why did you stop that girl from leaving? Isn't she a rival?"
Medaka:"Oh, I want to know it too, I mean, I am really thankful that you calmed me down and gave me good advice, but why did you help me."
Lala:"Oh that, Ivy isn't the only wife Cadmus has."
Medaka:"What?"
Sephie:"Oh my."
So young and already a ladies' man, reminds me of Gid in his youth.
Lala:"Ivy, had already told me that he had other wives and other women wanted to marry him, so it wouldn't be an issue if I wanted to join, the only problem is, that if wanted to join I would have to become part of the family first."
Curious I thought that the wives helping their husbands grow a harem as a sign of status was only a Devilukean thing
Medaka:"Before and not after?"
Lala:"No, she said that Cadmus will not go after other women but that doesn't mean that they will not go after him and to get into his harem one has to prove that it has what it takes to accept their family and be a part of it wholeheartedly."
Oh, it is not about status but about the harmony inside of the family, good.
Lala:"You are Kurokami Medaka, daughter of Kurokami Kajiri right?"
Medaka:"You know about me?"
Lala:"We have files about notable earthlings."
Medaka:"..."
Lala:"And your whole family is known for how intensely you love your significant other, even your father who has six wives."
I see, so Earth does have a culture of harem, I should study a little about the culture of this primitive place.
Medaka:"..."
Lala:"So I think you have what it takes to be a part of it, unlike me, so I want your help, I want to know about love and fall in love with Cadmus in exchange I will give you the information Ivy told me to be a part of Cadmus family."
Lala said with a sad tone, really, it was a shock to both Gid and me that Lala was so mature, she always appeared goofy and noncaring, I had no idea that my beloved daughter hid such a side.
I mustn't forget to thank Cadmus.
Sephie:"Why do you think you don't have what it takes to be part of his family."
Lala:"...I….I didn't want to be in a relationship, I was disgusted by everyone around me, the way they looked at me and treated me so I started inventing things to make me company since all other people wanted something from me, and you two were always busy."
Oh, my dear Lala, I'm so sorry, no matter how much I put suppressants in the castle, Charmeans charm powers do add up when we are together, your charm may not be as powerful as mine but you are still affected.
But it is good that your face is not beautiful as mine or that your body is not as perfect either, I am so glad that you don't have to suffer for having a voice that can make any pervert into a gentleman or a face that can transform any gentleman into a pervert like me.
Sigh it is soo hard being this gorgeous.
Sephie:"Lala."
I sigh sadly for not noticing the daughter's problems earlier.
Lala:"After a few years you had Momo and Nana and I wasn't as lonely as before, I had people that wouldn't try to use me, and for me, that was everything I needed, but then father wanted me to marry so he could drop his responsibilities on someone else."
Yeah, I remember those years, she looked so lonely back then but unfortunately, the galaxy wasn't as stable as now so I could just watch my daughter from afar.
I look at Gid that had already come back to his senses and was intently looking at Lala with the same guilty face I am, but that doesn't mean that you will escape more punishment.
He shakes in fear before looking around.
Lala:"Cadmus and Ivy, didn't look at me like that, they look at me with pity, I didn't understand why until Cadmus told me about Ivy's life and what they had been through."
And to think that a stranger, of her age no less, noticed the first time they met, I failed as a mother.
Lala:"Then I thought 'that's it' there is someone that understands, I am not alone, and Ivy, said that I could be part of it, a group of people that help each other and will always have each other's back."
I see, it does look like a good marriage partner for Lala.
Lala:"So in my rush to be a part I forgot the love part and the family part."
Lala wry smiled while scratching her face as she finishes her line of thought, sigh, I see now, she got excited that she could finally have someone to rely on and ended up rushing things.
And even if it didn't have love, since the partner was reliable and was a good person, she still didn't mind being married to him and having his children.
I didn't know that my daughter was this realistic at this young age. Again I failed as a mother. But I think that what Lala said resonated with the other girl, she is in deep thought now.
Now I want to know how the rest of the visit will go, it looks like things will get a little awkward for the time being.
???:"Cadmus honey, I have come to spend quality time with my dear husband alone."
A mature voice cuts through the silence and the person crosses the front door.
A beautiful, silver-haired woman, stood there motionless as she looked at us in the living room, I look at the girls that now have their mouths hung open while looking at the woman.
I knew that things would get awkward but not like this.
