"Valen?" I called out the name of the person that came to mind in a rough voice.

"Haha, as perceptive as ever!" He smiled as he spoke with that same loud tone as always.

"But how…? How could such a thing happen?" I thought out loud, appalled.

My party members were just as shocked as I was.

This was a former human we had gotten to stay along with months ago, and now, he's a demihuman.

"So, which floor is this?" Valen asked while keeping that jolly smile on his face.

"Oh, so you know that we're inside the dungeon. Yeah, it's obvious you would..." I trailed off bitterly.

I had different thoughts as to why this type of reincarnation has happened. He died, and I was there, spectating when his head was severed. The gushing blood is still as vivid as ever whenever I think back to that moment.
