Capítulo 148: Olivia Marcello
Arthur looked at Aaron and said ' Let's for a second believe your words, Then when should I kill him?'
Aaron looked at Arthur in horror and said ' Kill him?'
Arthur said ' Of Course, If I leave him this time he will try it again, won't he?' Saying Arthur paused and Looked at Aaron who knew it was true.
Arthur continued ' So, I would like to end it once and for all'
Aaron said ' No no, I will take the responsibility for him that he won't even touch Maria's hair'
Arthur sneered ' You? who didn't even know his father made such a huge move behind his back and you take his responsibility?'
Aaron looked at him not knowing what to say…
On the other side,
The woman after getting into the car told the driver to take her to the Palace and the driver nodded and the car started moving.
Flash back
She was sitting in the office at the table were written ( CEO, Olivia Marcello), was writing. She was reading a few documents.
Her mobile started vibrating and she picked up the call.
"Why did you call me now??" She asked in her cold yet polite tone.
"I have learned that Master Arthur was injured." Hearing this she got worried and asked "is he okay??"
"Yes, he is okay. I thought of telling you as I found this information important."
The woman nodded and said "it's about my son. It's very important news."
She said and disconnected the call. Yes, she was none other than Arthur's mother, Olivia. She called her secretary and said ' I will be going back home, you take care of everything here'
She nodded and Olivia got up and left.
Flash back ends
The driver nodded. He started driving towards Arthur's mansion. Olivia was both excited and nervous to see his son. It's been three long years since they met. It wasn't like they had some issues or misunderstandings but both were busy with their life. They call each other almost every week but Arthur didn't tell her anything about all this.
She sighed thinking Arthur hasn't changed a bit. He still likes to keep his problem to himself.
After a long drive of three hours finally, she reached the Palace. She got out of the car and looked at the big Palace which didn't change a bit. It's the same the way it was when Arthur was a teenager. She smiled remembering those memories.
She was glad that his son maintained the Palace.
Here, Maria was sitting on the couch reading some magazines as new designs were launched. The lady servant was busy cleaning the house.
When Maria was reading the magazine, all of a sudden she heard a car entering the mansion and frowned. She knew it couldn't be Arthur as he just left.
'Who can it be at this time??' She thought and got up from her couch. The doorbell rang and the lady servant came out to open the door. Maria too stood up to open the door but before she could walk she heard the lady servant's voice
"Madam you sit down, I will go and see who is there at this time." Maria smiled at her and nodded. The lady went towards the door and opened it to find Olivia standing there with a smile.
"Madam you at this time??" She was shocked to see her there. She didn't inform anyone before coming.
Olivia smiled and said "It's my home. Can't I be here??"
"No no please welcome. It's your house only" The lady got a side and Olivia entered only to see Maria sitting. Maria's eyes went on Olivia and she frowned. Olivia looked at her from bottom to up and walked towards her.
"Would you like to introduce yourself, young lady??" Olivia asked with her brows raised. Maria came out of her trance and said "Umm...I am Maria."
She nodded and said, "And what are you doing over here??"
Maria thought, 'Shouldn't I be the one asking this question?' But she smiled at her and said "I am Arthur's girlfriend, Maria."
Olivia got shocked hearing this. Maria and Arthur's girlfriend?? Then what about Rachel?? Where is she ?? She thought Arthur would make Rachel his girlfriend.
Olivia asked ' You really are his girlfriend?'
Maria nodded and The lady said ' Yes, Madam sir has been taking care of her'
Olivia asked ' What about his condition?'
Maria now understood and she thought if she knows about Arthur's condition then she must be someone close to him.
Maria said ' Even he was surprised to see that my touch didn't hurt him'
Olivia was shocked hearing it, and finally, her son can be happy, thank god.
Olivia smiled at Maria with tears brimming her eyes. She was happy that finally there is someone who can heal her son, who can make him feel his own. There is someone who can touch him and give him warmth.
Maria was shocked seeing her cry and came towards her and wiped her tears immediately, shocking her to the core.
"Don't cry." Maria said softly and Olivia smiled seeing how polite and kind she was. Maria made her sit and said to the lady servant, "Please bring some water for her to drink."
The lady servant immediately nodded at her and left to bring the water.
"It's okay dear. It's just tears of happiness." Olivia Said with a smile. Maria sat beside her and said, "Can I know your relationship with Arthur??"
Olivia nodded and said, "I am his mother." Maria was shocked for a second but then started getting nervous.
"Uhh...I am sorry if I talked in any rude way." Olivia smiled and said, "I am impressed."
Maria was shocked to the core hearing what Olivia Said. Olivia turned towards Maria and said, "My son's choice is really nice."
She blushed hearing her and smiled.
"Thank you." They started talking.
"So tell me something about you, Maria." Maria smiled and said "My name is Maria and I am a designer in Arthur's company. I live with my aunt but she had to meet some of her relatives so she left and I am here with Arthur."
"You are really beautiful. What about your parents??" Olivia asked politely. Maria looked down and said with her voice low "Umm..they are no more."
"I am so sorry dear." Olivia said, caressing her hair. Maria smiled and said "you don't have to be sorry. God gifted me with Arthur and that's what I am happy about."
She nodded at her. Maria wanted to call Arthur but Olivia was continuously talking to her and she didn't get a chance to call Arthur. She tried a lot but Olivia wasn't leaving her and Maria too didn't want to disappoint her. So she decided to talk to her. They were continuously talking and it was evening.
Olivia looked at her watch and was shocked to see it was 10 pm.
"We were so engrossed in our talks that we forgot time." They both chuckled and all of a sudden, their attention went on the voice which came from outside. It was Arthur's car. Maria was relieved as she was afraid that if by mistake she said something wrong and hurt her.
She got to know one thing, his mother turns into a chatterbox once she gets comfortable with someone.
Here Arthur finally came home after work and as he entered he got shocked to see his mother sitting and chatting with Maria.
"Mom??" He called her confused. Olivia turned and smiled brightly at Arthur. She got up and went towards him. She hugged him tightly but remembered not to make skin contact with him. Arthur was happy to see his mom over here. He hugged her back and said very lovingly "I missed you, mom. How are you??"
Olivia parted and said with a bright smile "Oh I missed you too my son. I am all okay. But I don't think you are okay. See your arm. It must be hurting right??"
Arthur chuckled and said "It's much better mom. No need to worry, I am okay."
Olivia said "Oh I know why is it not hurting all because of her right and with her here you must have not even missed me' and winked at Maria, and Maria blushed.
Arthur said ' How is that possible mom, you're always my favourite and When did you came??" He asked me to change the topic.
"In the afternoon and met your girlfriend, Maria. She is such a kind-hearted girl. I am impressed by your choice." Arthur was glad to hear these words from her mother's mouth as he knew she doesn't get comfortable with someone so easily.
He looked at Maria and she smiled at him lovingly. He smiled back and said, "Let me go and get changed, then we can talk".
She nodded and he left for his room. The dinner was ready and Maria helped the lady servant in serving the food. Arthur too came down and sat at the dining table. All the three got settled and started having dinner and Olivia said ' I want to see that miracle'
Maria was confused about what miracle but Arthur understood that Maria must have said about her having no effect on him.
Arthur put his fork down and suddenly held Maria's hand who was already confused and became more but then she understood what was happening.
Olivia couldn't believe it tears again rolled out of her eyes, Arthur said ' Mom don't be like that, what will others say when they see Olivia Marcello crying'
Olivia chuckled hearing it and nodded.
They were talking and the environment was good. Suddenly Olivia remembered something.
She looked at Arthur and asked "Where is Rachel?? I didn't see her."
Both Maria and Arthur's hands stopped hearing that name. He looked at Maria but she didn't look back at him and was looking down waiting for his answer. Olivia was looking at him curiously. He cleared his throat and said, "she is living with her aunt."
Olivia nodded and they all had their food talking and laughing.
