Capítulo 147: Believe it...
Maria couldn't understand whether to say or not and was just silent and they reached the home and they got down from the car and went in.
The lady told them to go and change their clothes and serve the food. They both nodded and went into the room and after changing they came down and sat at the table and Arthur asked ' How was your day at the office?'
Hearing it her mind flashed the image of Aaron walking towards her, she was silent not knowing what to say and Arthur looked at her and asked again ' Any problem?'
Maria shook her head and said ' It was good 9I met Mishka and then worked, how was your day?'
Maria changed the subject and Arthur said " It was okay, nothing special'
Maria nodded and was silent again going back to thinking, Arthur looked at her not eating, just playing with her food. Something happened and was about to ask and his phone rang and when he looked at the name on the screen he frowned….
In Mishka's home,
Ryan and Mishka were sitting beside each other, Ryan was playing with her hair and Mishka said ' Thank god Arthur came on the right time to save Maria or else she might have been killed'
Ryan nodded and said ' Ya and he also took a good decision to assign guards to her which saved her'
Mishka said ' People are so vicious, how can they think of taking someone else's life, don't they feel hurt when their family members get hurt?'
Ryan said ' Such people have no family and are ruthless I will say they aren't human who kill people in cold blood'
Mishka nodded and said ' Do you also think it's Aaron who tried to kill her?'
Ryan said ' I don't know but, all the evidence points at him and I don't like that guy from the start'
Mishka said ' Why don't you like him? And I think it wasn't him who did it as you know he met us in the coffee shop today and the broken look he had when he saw Maria questioning him, I don't think he can hurt Maria '
Ryan looked at her and said ' Whether he hurt her or not be away from him, if he dares to snatch maria from Arthur I will kill him'
Mishka looked at him and said ' Don't talk like okay, I won't meet him and you are very close to Boss?'
Ryan nodded and said ' We are childhood friends and he started saying their fun memories '
Aaron was in the car sitting all alone, he didn't know what to do but, he hit the steering wheel got down and was walking left and right and after mustering up a lot of courage he looked for his phone in his pocket and on not finding he went and looked into his car and found it in the cupholder.
He took the phone and opened it and looked at the contact and after taking a deep breath he dialled the number…
Arthur, when his phone rang, looked at the caller Id and frowned seeing Aaron written on it, he looked at Maria still looking down at her plate in deep thought, he got up and went to a side and picked up the call.
Arthur said ' what is it?'
Aaron hearing it was silent and said ' I want to meet you, I am at 12th street waiting for you'
Arthur looked at Maria and then said ' Okay, be there in half an hour' and disconnected the call.
He went and sat at the table and didn't force her to say anything as he knew she would tell him, Arthur pulled her chair towards her making her scream and she held the table to not fall due to sudden shear.
She looked at Arthur and said ' What happened?'
Arthur said ' You ain't eating but playing with your rice, come I will feed you' saying he started feeding her.
Maria after eating a few bites said she was full but he didn't listen to her and fed her everything she had on her plate and Maria was too full to even move.
He kissed her cheek and said ' I have some work so will come back in some time, I am leaving'
Maria heard it said ' You didn't had your lunch properly'
Arthur smiled and said ' Seeing you smile iam full, now I will leave, take care of yourself and don't stress out on anything' he hinted at her and he got up and left.
Maria could sense that he was calming her and she smiled and looked at him to leave.
It's been more than an hour since Aaron had called and he was waiting for Arthur and with more delay the more his heart beat was increasing.
The whole street was silent and suddenly he heard the roar of the engines and he saw 2 cars approaching him.
The cars stopped and Arthur got down from the car and looked at Aaron who was all messy. He went towards him and stood in front of him.
Arthur said ' Say why did you want to meet me? You found it? Whether it's you or your father?'
Aaron knew he was making fun of him and said with great difficulty, he said ' It was my father'
Arthur wasn't surprised hearing it as he was expecting it, he said ' Reason?'
Aaron said ' He thought she is chasing me and he was afraid that I would fall into her trap'
Arthur laughed hearing it and said ' You think before you say something? You think I would believe that?'
Aaron said ' You, believe it or not, it's the reason he tried to kill Maria, last time I bought the cafe for a huge price and it was smashed he thought the girl is creating drama in my life and wanted to get rid of her' saying it He looked at Arthur wishing for him to believe it, as he didn't want to say about the Mathew thing and drag Maria into it.
Arthur just looked at Aaron….
In a private airport,
A jet landed and an Elegant woman got down and cars were waiting for her. She sat in the car and said let's go….
