"It's not hiding," I said quickly, but nodded and smiled up at David. "I'm not hiding, I promise."

"I know, beautiful. Don't listen to Lord Sti-ark." He caught himself just in time, but left me spluttering with laughter, so it was another minute before I could get myself together to actually say a serious word.

Agatha was rolling her eyes again, but I didn't care.
