[Chapter 25: Fucked up]

(A.N: to excuse myself for teh three days when I didn't update here is a longer chapter (1640 words))

"Haa," moaned Loki, as he slowly opened his light lids, and started looking around. 'Well, this was interesting,' he commented in his mind, before placing his hand on his face and trailing it down.

He raised his arm and clenched his fists. His lips widened, and a small gasp escaped his mouth in surprise. "damn" he whispered. 'I feel… Stronger' he noticed, clenching his fists and releasing the pressure a few times. 'Odinsleep, no Lokisleep really is a miracle!'

But his face strained as remembered the events from before. He looked at the walls, 'It seems like they could get in the spaceship' Relief blossomed in his heart. His hand gently touched the bed. 'Mmh what is it made of to feel so good? I want a bed like this!'

He raised himself, sitting on the blanket, before extending a finger and piercing the golden bubble surrounding his bed. Suddenly, as it exploded in a melodious pocking sound, Loki felt the air changing. 'Was it purifying the air?' asked himself Loki, noticing the quality decreasing and the magicality disappearing. 'So, this was also part of the sleep. Was it protecting me?'

As Loki was wandering those thoughts, two thick, black metallic doors slid open, and Osi ran into the room. "Ah, you're finally awake, sleeping beauty." He said with relief in his voice.

"Yo," greeted Loki, his arm raised and his palm facing Osi, and a relaxed look on his face. "So, how are the kids going?" joked Loki, getting up from the bed.

A chuckle left Osi's mouth. "Damn good, considering how long you've been sleeping like a rat."

"How come on! It wasn't that long, besides I saved you all," responded Loki, waving his hand toward the back, and approaching Osi.

"Wouldn't be in this situation if it wasn't for your father," commented Osi, without any trace of hate.

"So, how's everything going?" asked Loki, searching for a window, but there were none. "Follow me," said Osi, before walking along the various corridors.

He clenched his fists, his lips falling to the ground. "We are fucked up!" he said, nodding his head. His teeth clacked as if he felt cold.

"I know that," responded Loki with an unworried expression on his face, his green eyes glistening like a crescent moon.

"Are you sure about that?" asked Osi, uncertain about Loki's statement. He looked too relaxed for the pressure they were under. "Because we won't last long!" he said, pronouncing every word in staccato with a worried voice.

Loki smiled and tilted his head toward the right. "I know. I looked into one of the monster's minds." He placed his thumb on one of the doors, making it glow green before opening.

"Then why are you so unworried" asked Osi confused, he knew Loki since childhood, but still he felt different.

Loki looked at him in the eyes, placed his hand on his shoulder, and whispered in his ears with a mysterious voice, "I have seen things. Too many things came to me in my sleep" he then walked toward one of the spaceship's screens, his steps reverberating in the silence.

He raised his eyebrows and repeated, "You saw things in your sleep?". "Cheater" whispered Osi. As Loki nodded in confirmation, he asked, "Like what?"

Still holding an air of mysteriousness around himself, Loki's whisper echoed around the room as if it was magical. "Things much, much stronger than us". His back faced Osi, while he fidgeted with the screen, showing him the condition of the spaceship and his army.

Osi shook his head in desperation at Loki, "Doesn't matter what you saw, it doesn't change the fact that we will probably, almost surely, die," he said, his voice getting louder and longer by the "die."

Loki turned his head, the artificial light shining through his eyes. "Only if we die," he responded, like an idol speaking the absolute truth.

A silence enveloped the room; Osi slapped his head and shook it, "that's what dying means, idiot," he responded in a low voice as if finding debating with Loki a bothersome thing.

Loki chuckled with a pure look, a small flame dancing in his emerald, green eyes. "I know, but I won't die!" he responded with confidence.

Osi sat down on a chair, his elbows on the old wooden table, his head being supported by his right fist. "And what about us" he whispered under his breath before a smile flashed on his young face. "Arrogant much?" he said, teasing Loki, knowing that he didn't like arrogance.

Loki shrugged his shoulders, and responded, his eyes squinted, with a serious voice, "A bit, I guess. But at worse, my body will get destroyed."

Osi's eyes widened, "sure…" he muttered, before asking, trying to change the direction of the discussion, "Anyway, any idea how to kill that damn, unkillable abomination."

Loki smiled, "Nothing's unkillable. Even death can forever disappear," he whispered. He then waved his hand, and said, "Yes, I have an idea, but it will be hard, as normal attacks won't be able to do anything."

"How?" asked Osi, before his eyes widened in surprise as he heard Loki's response. "This will be dangerous," he commented, already fighting the monster in his head.

—(Line Break)—

"ugh" muttered one of the commanders as if wanting to puke at the sight in front of him. "What an atrocious thing!" he commented, looking at it from above a volcano.

"I agree," said one of the soldiers behind the commander. "such a thing shouldn't be allowed to exist." His eyes were squinted in disgust and horror. He could feel his heart beating like the Bifrost.

Under them stood a massive ball of flesh. Its flesh seemed to be filled with a pink liquid, creating hideous bubbles that, if exploded, would make a river of gum-like liquid. Between those bubbles were a multitude of white horns, growing like a frost of bones. From the tips of its horns grew octopus' tentacles, which also held white with blue taints eggs.

Its skin was pinkish-white as if it had never seen the light of the sun. If one looked close enough, one would be able to see, swimming in the pink liquid, was a heart. The heart was round, with a blackish blue color, and multiple strings attached to it, as if its only link to life.

It seemed to be pulsating and quivering like a dying dog. It emanated a putrid stench, making their stomach churn. The surrounding air seemed to produce faint whispers as if the creature was trying to sing with the universe.

Loki smiled; his soldiers were so biased. Sure, this monster was atrocious, but still, even if it hadn't destroyed a planet, they would have still attacked it, saying the same things. Not that Loki was any different.

His eyes seemed to morph into a crescent moon. Coupled with his smile, he looked like a devil. "Then charge!" he yelled, with a creepy voice, before flying, alone, toward the monster. The soldiers froze for a second in confusion, their eyes frowning but also widened. However, as Osi also charged in, they followed his traces.

Against an absolute power like that, mere tactics wouldn't do anything. But madness, however, had a small, ridiculously slight chance of working. So, with glints of madness in their eyes, they ran toward it, while chanting, "Kill it!" in a horrible chorus. They raised their weapons as if trying to blindly pierce it.

*Boom* the earth started being flipped, and from under rose various tentacles straight of a hentai. "Shit," cursed a soldier seeing one of them charging at him before blood flew out of his mouth, and his body dropped dead, killed by a tentacle piercing his stomach.

"Argh" screamed a commander in determination. He cut one of the tentacles, but unfortunately for him, it quickly regenerated. "Double shit!" he uttered.

"On your guards" yelled another voice, seeing that even madness did not bring anything, and following his orders, the soldiers' weapons lit. They surrounded the ball of flesh and created an enormous dome, making it unable to move.

Sensing this, as it did not have any eyes, it started vibrating even faster, creating sound waves that rebounded on the barrier.

However, at that moment, interrupting it, was Loki, flying, who declared, "Be silent" in a chilling whisper. In one of his hands was his spear, which he held in a throwing-like position as if it were a javelin. Around the spear, flowing like water, was kaleidoscopic energy.

Loki's heart raced as he realized the full extent of the abomination's power. He had thrown everything he had at it, and yet it remained unscathed. The sound of his attack breaking the sound barrier echoed in his ears as the creature shrugged it off with ease. In a split second, one of its tentacles struck him with incredible force, sending him hurtling through the air. The dome shattered around him like fragile glass, and he braced himself for impact with the blood-tainted sea below.

However, as he was about to touch it, his fall diminished in speed, as if time had become slower. Out of the sea flew blood particles, turning the sea into its original pure blue color. And as it was finished, the water gently rose. It trailed down his body, enveloping him.

The dark blue water, untouched by the sun's rays, started to heal his wounds and started mixing with his body. The water soon made a perfectly circular ball spinning around Loki. But as Loki's hand raised itself, facing the water like a martial artist, it fluttered, morphing into a mesmerizing, floating sea.
