Queen Rohesia released Eve's neck, causing her to collapse to the ground. Her hands instinctively went to her stomach. The knife was still inside her, and she pulled it out, gritting her teeth in pain. Her dress was heavily stained with her blood. She used the knife to tear it and pressed it down on her wound. Her breath was becoming labored, and her sight blurry. She didn't know whether to feel joy or despair at the news of Sebastian's return. Her body was growing weak by the second, and she doubted if she would survive.
