Mingyu nervously entered the grand hall, her arms tightly wrapped around the baby basket.

At the hall, two people were waiting for her.

"Mingyu, come," Xie Jianshen's commanding voice echoed through the hall, demanding Mingyu to step closer.

Zhang Fengxi's heart raced as Mingyu placed the basket in Xie Jianshen's hand. From his vantage point, he could only catch a glimpse of the soft muslin curtain that shielded his sons from view.

"Here you go," Xie Jianshen stated, thrusting the basket toward Zhang Fengxi. "But remember," he added with a sharp edge to his voice, "I still have the right to summon them to the Golden Dragon Palace whenever I please."
