Ace's hoard of Blood Beasts intensified their attacks on the other beasts, weakening and injuring them as quickly as they could for the other Hunters to finish them off. Despite losing the opportunity to kill and conjure them himself, Ace opted to do things that way given that they had less time. 

The Emberwyrm was putting up a huge fight which was quite troublesome for them. They needed to think quickly, react faster, and attack immediately if they wanted to kill it. Unfortunately, there were other beasts in the Caverns that attacked them as soon as the targeted beast made its battle cry.
