I was riding a cloud of ecstasy as I walked into Rika's apartment. I hadn't thought that this was going to happen today. Or that one of those trace scents that I was picking up on Rika was my mate. However, here I was sitting on the couch in Rika's living room, next to Reggie, my mate.

I was in awe of this woman. I hadn't thought about who my mate would be. I didn't have an ideal image or anything like that in my mind. Now that I have met her though, I don't think that I would have accepted anyone else. She was perfect.

Reggie was very tall, about four inches taller than me. She stood about six feet one inch tall. She had long mahogany brown hair that fell to the middle of her back in dusky waves. Her eyes were brown, but they weren't an ordinary looking brown. No, looking into her eyes was like looking at caramel that was warm and melted.
