Even in the darkest reaches in the woods, a tiny light is all that is needed to shine the way for weary and the lost, Though the ravens give their songs, while the dead howl in the night, as hungry eye flicker in and out form their perch, so to do sadden ghost wail for the lost.

As Cynthia entered the hollow road into Duskwood, she ignored the calling of the dead, the howls of the wolves, the creepy spiders that skittered about. As ravens stared at her from above, she paid them no mind, for none of these things caught her attention, for her gaze was solely on the sleeping child in her arms. For even the tall trees that bloated out the sun light could not cover the shine the child gave in her eyes. With loving looks she arrived in Darkshire, but when she arrived the town folk did not reciprocate her loving looks, for the town had its own fears. However, having no time to pry into their situation because she didn't have the need or time to care, she quickly ran to the nearest flight master and bought the fastest flight to Menethil Harbor, for she knew this place that reeked of death and misery was no place to stay… not even for night.
Unfortunately, just as she unmounted her trusty steed, the exhaustion and anxiety finally caught up to her! Thus, causing her to pass out on the spot! With her sudden collapse the flight master heard a strange yelp noise coming from Cynthia arms. Confused, yet concerned the flight master "Felicia Maline" rushed to Cynthia aid with some of the night watchmen guards, but as the night guards carried Cynthia away to the inn for recovery, Felicia said:
[Aw! What a cute pet! I think I will take him home with me for a few, seeing as an inn is not a place for a cute little gnoll!]
{Pet! I'm no one's freaking pet!} yelped the gnoll child inwardly as he was taken hostage and forced to wear a spiked dog collar while being stuffed in a little tuxedo.

POV Xavalis
[ugh! Insufferable curs!] yelled Xavalis with much hate as he immolates a soldier to death with a simple wave of his hand.
Xavalis then continued to say [Even with all this power, why can't my forces kill a weak, simple little girl! It's all this annoyance that keeps interrupting me! It was fine at first but now it's just getting annoying!]
[Sire I don't mean to interrupt your thoughts but I need to report that Xavian has failed to hold the north! Enemy reinforcements are on their way from the north even as I speak! We have run out of time!] said the scout
[Um… his failure to hold the north was par, to the plan. After all, he was only to buy time… and in truth he did succeed in that, for if things went according to plan, then we would have already been gone from here.] replied Xavalis
Xavalis continues after a pause [Well it matters little, for my assassin should hopefully bring back good news and if not… then the kid just got lucky. But no matter, we have forces stationed all around Azeroth! He won't be safe no matter where he runs to! Not even in that loathsome tree of theirs!]
[Yoi, let's go! It's time to leave this place for the portals are flickering in and out of existence, and I don't want to be here when their reinforcements arrive, while ours cease. Sigh, father not going to be happy to hear how half the mission was a failure, especially with how much resources we used up this time.] said Xavalis with much worry as he tore open a gateway into the dream. But just then Xavalis got a wicked thought, which was "That's if father hears of this" … [that right he doesn't have to know the full detail! I could just tell him I succeeded then find the boy later!]. With squinted eyes, Xavalis shrinks the portal down and jesters to the remaining men to stay.
[But sire… what of us?] asked a random satyr henchman when he noticed the portal to the dream shrink down in size.
[What about you?] replied Xavalis hastily before continuing [ look I don't have to explain myself to you! Just wait here I'll be right "back"]
Though suspicious the men said nothing as Xavalis entered the portal with Yoi who seemed to have a most erotic expression plaster on her face as she looked at the men staying behind.
Hours later as the demons were all but vanquished, while the nightmare shadows are but a dream now, the satyrs were all that were left to stand against the human and orc forces coupled with the growing sounds of mounted horse racing behind them. Knowing full well that their master has abandoned them to their deaths, the satyr thought of surrendering to the humans, when the sky above them turned a reddish black, and with it came a bright green dot that expanded so fast the air ceased to blow, the birds in the air fell dead, cracking sound reverberated throughout the sky! With scaly claws the biggest dragon ever seen tore open the way like a tide in the ocean! With fear the dragon breathed out a stream of death for its incinerated satyrs, but not with burns, but with toxicity so potent that it caused the satyrs to wish it was fire, for fire would be a more merciful death!
The humans and the orcs watched as the satyr's skin was dissolving with fungus-like plants growing out from within their bodies, they watched as ghost abrasions that were once their souls peaking in and out of their bodies! With fur sliding off their skin, their terrified eyes were like a window for all to see just how painful the process was. With screams so definite it's caused even the most battle-hardened warrior to wince with regret that they couldn't end their suffering for no one wanted to approach that gasses toxic. In the end all that remained was a pile of melted bones with expression so devastating they would haunt the forest of Elwynn for generations to come.
With blue clear skies the dragon and the portal were nowhere to be seen with the satyrs' deaths, just an eerie quiet remained for no one wanted to make a sound for what they just witnessed.
