7.14% Revenge Marriage: Love Slave for the Devil Husband / Chapter 15: be a good husband

Capítulo 15: be a good husband

The sun's rays penetrated through the air vents, making Daisy feel dazzled as she slowly opened her eyes. She paused for a moment, gathering her consciousness, and then glanced at the strong hand that embraced her chest. Daisy remained silent and remembered how her husband had invited her to discuss their sudden and loveless marriage.

'He's used to being selfish and abusing his power, thinking that my family and I are inferior. He was angry at my sister. But now he wants us to learn to love each other. It's strange. He changed 180 degrees in an instant,' she thought anxiously. 'It's a good thing, but I don't know if I should believe him or not. If I consider this marriage as suffering or a problem, I will never be happy. What should I do?'

"Hey, you're awake..."

Daisy turned and looked at Richard, who slowly released his embrace and stretched. She shifted a little away, continuing to gaze at her husband, who slowly smiled at her. The woman didn't know what to say and suddenly felt awkward.

"It seems like a bright morning. What if we take a walk?" Richard asked.

"You're crazy... I'm in pain. I can't walk," Daisy replied, remembering that she couldn't walk the night before.

"Oh..." Richard smiled thinly and rubbed his forehead. "Sorry... I forgot."

"It's okay..."

"In that case, let's have breakfast outside, maybe on the terrace. Let's enjoy the scenery," Richard said, then got up and fixed his wrinkled bathrobe. He glanced at Daisy who remained silent. "Let's go to the bathroom. We need to brush our teeth and wash our faces."

"I... I also need to pee," Daisy replied with her innocent gaze. "You have to go out when I..."

"Hahaha...!" Richard laughed, then pinched Daisy's cheek. "You don't need to be embarrassed in front of your husband!"

"I know... But, a husband doesn't need to see his wife pee," Daisy said awkwardly. "I just want you to accompany me to the bathroom... Maybe I can come out on my own later," she continued.

"Okay..."

Richard immediately got up from the bed and carried Daisy to the bathroom. Upon arriving there, he sat his wife down on the sink, and they both started brushing their teeth and washing their faces.

After cleaning themselves, Daisy and Richard returned to the room to change into warm clothes because it was quite cold there. Richard wore a grey suit with a blue jacket, while Daisy wore a grey suit with a white jacket and a grey head covering, as well as light makeup and golden yellow glasses. They moved to the terrace, waiting for the maid to bring them breakfast.

Richard sat in a chair next to Daisy, who was busy with her phone. He also checked his phone and realized that he didn't have Daisy's contact number yet.

"Baby..." he looked at Daisy, who immediately turned to him.

Daisy raised her eyebrows, not expecting Richard to call her that. 'Oh, is he going to keep being sweet?'

"I don't have your contact number yet... How could this happen?" Richard asked with a smile on his lips. "We're a couple... How can a couple not exchange contact numbers?"

"Because you didn't ask," Daisy answered with her innocent gaze. "Furthermore, yesterday you were still a stranger to me, so I always felt awkward talking about this."

"Oh my God..." Richard chuckled. "I didn't ask because I was too concerned about Irina. I'm sorry."

Daisy nodded with a resigned expression. "It's okay."

Richard immediately handed his phone to Daisy. "Write your number... Save it under the name 'My Innocent Wife'," he exclaimed.

Daisy took the phone with a shy smile. "Innocent wife?"

"Yeah, that's you..." Richard changed his sitting position to face Daisy. "And I hope you'll change a little for me."

Daisy typed her number and saved it under the name Richard wanted. After that, she called her phone number so that Richard's number could be saved on her phone too. She immediately handed the phone back to Richard, but he took off his glasses instead.

"Richard... Please..."

"I don't like you with glasses," Richard said, looking at Daisy's beautiful eyes. "You have unique, beautiful eyes... It's a shame if you have to keep hiding them. You should know that your eyes are something that's my favorite," he continued, putting his phone on the table.

"But I can't enjoy the scenery without those glasses," Daisy said anxiously.

"We'll try contact lenses," Richard replied, getting up. "I'll get them. Didn't you keep them in your bag?" he asked.

Daisy just nodded.

"Wait a minute," Richard said, then quickly went back inside the room, passing through the short hallway and accidentally meeting the maid pushing the breakfast menu cart.

Daisy put her glasses back on while Richard was gone. She looked at the scenery, occasionally glancing at the waiter who was arranging food on the table.

"You have nice glasses," the waiter, dressed in a black and white uniform, said.

"Oh, yeah," Daisy replied with a smile. 'But my husband doesn't like them,' she thought.

The waiter finished arranging the food and drinks on the table. "Enjoy your meal," he said.

"Thank you," Daisy replied. She looked at the scenery again while the waiter left.

Richard came back with a small box in his hand. He immediately sat down and looked at Daisy, who was wearing her glasses again.

"Please take off your glasses, then I'll put on these contact lenses," Richard said, opening a white-colored contact lens box.

Daisy immediately took off her glasses, placed them on the table, and turned to look at Richard, who was ready to put on the contact lenses for her eyes.

"Keep your eyes open, okay," Richard said.

Daisy remained silent, allowing Richard to hold her right eye open with his finger while his right hand aimed the contact lens at it. Suddenly, she felt a sting, and discomfort, and blinked several times.

"Okay, now the other eye," Richard said.

"Wait a minute..."

Richard fell silent, letting Daisy adjust to the contact lens in her right eye. After that, he put it on her left eye.

"Now look at the scenery... It looks just as clear as when you wear glasses," he exclaimed.

Daisy looked at the scenery, her attention focused on the couple who were riding a boat steered by one man. She smiled, feeling like she had a new vision without her glasses.

"Isn't that comfortable?" Richard asked with a smile.

"Yes," Daisy answered, then pointed to the boat. "I can even see that couple smiling... They're wearing yellow and red clothes," she continued.

"Do you want to be like them?"

"Yeah... It looks fun... Touring around Venice without having to walk," Daisy said.

"We'll do it after breakfast," Richard replied.

Daisy turned to Richard immediately. "Really?"

"Yes, dear... Anything for you," Richard smiled and nodded.

Feeling happy, Daisy reflexively hugged Richard.

Richard smiled thinly and hugged Daisy back. For some reason, he was also happy that his wife looked happier and more attractive than before as if something was different and more appealing now.

"Uh..." Daisy immediately released her hug. "Sorry... I was too excited."

"It's okay... There's nothing wrong with hugging your husband," Richard said with a smile, stroking Daisy's cute lips. "I'm happy... This is the first time I've seen you happy with me..."

Daisy smiled shyly. "Maybe it's too much for you, but I'm like this because I rarely have fun."

"And from now on, I will always invite you to have fun," Richard said, slowly approaching Daisy's face until their lips met.

Daisy closed her eyes, responding to the kiss gently, feeling so sweet and happy in her heart. This kiss felt more enjoyable, different from the previous ones.
