Capítulo 33: Drum Island
[Drum Island, Paradise]
The Victoria Punk sailed through frigid waters, making its way to Drum Island, a place known for its harsh climate and unique medical facilities. As they approached the island, the crew marveled at the towering series of drum shaped mountains covered in snow and ice.
Killer proceeded to steer the ship towards a river flowing inside the island and docked there. The place was close to the drum shaped mountains.
Kai, Kid, Bonney, Heat, Wire, Krieg and Gin disembarked, leaving the ship and Hina, the prisoner under the watchful eye of Donovan and the rest. They were all bundled up in warm coats, hats, and scarves, a far cry from their usual attire.
Kid grumbled as he adjusted his scarf. "Why does it have to be so damn cold here?"
Kai chuckled "Well, this place is famous for its medical knowledge. So don't worry, if you're sorry ass catches a cold, we could always find you a doctor"
"Like hell I would! You think I'm that pathetic?"
"Yeah, yeah we'll see"
"A kingdom affiliated with the world government is surely to have a big treasury. I say we invade this place and take everything they got" Krieg suggested, he grinned at the idea of pillaging the place.
"I don't know about the invading part, but Krieg is right about them having a big treasury. Paying the Heavenly Tribute is not cheap" Killer stated.
"Can't just chill around for a few days and leave? We don't have to be assholes every time we visit a new island" Bonney said while looking nonchalant.
"Let's wait and see" For now Kai didn't seem to have any interest but that might change any time.
As the crew made their way inland, they encountered a large group of island militia members, their rifles and weapons at the ready. The leader, a stern-looking man, stepped forward. "Halt! Who are you and what's your business here?"
Of course, the Victoria Punk was spotted approaching the island a while ago and they already know they are pirates.
"What do you think? We are pirates, I advise you to lower you weapon and step aside before you get hurt" Kid glared at them before he pushed the leader aside and walked away.
"We're not going to allow pirates attack our island and plunder our towns!" The leader exclaimed before he and the rest of the militia aimed their weapons at the Kid and the crew.
"Hahahaha! Looks like your plans to chill out is now ruined" Krieg exclaimed looking amused about the situation, but he didn't seem worried, and he just stood at the back with his arms crossed watching the scene unfold.
"Now we have no other choice" Killer got on guard and was ready to fight back any moment.
"Tsk, stupid bastards" Kid cursed them under his breath before his right hand crackled with energy, and suddenly all their weapons and metal objects around started flying towards him.
"Aagghh--…what the hell is going on?!"
"Our weapons are flying towards him?!" They all looked very shocked.
"Repel!" Kid grinned wickedly and as the weapons approached him, he repelled them back at all direction, causing some swords and sharp weapons to impale the militia while some rifles fired random bullet at them.
"Hey, watch it block head!" Bonney exclaimed in annoyance as she dodged a flying sword.
"What kind of power is that?!" The militia leader watched the scene in horror.
"I warned you, you only have yourself to blame for this reckless action" Kid said.
"You don't just go around attacking people before you asses your strength and your enemy strength. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle" Kai stated, his outstretch right arm was aimed at the militia before massive clouds were shot out of his hand and spread around the area. Kai compressed the clouds and made dense enough before he made them engulf the militia, trapping them inside "Cloud Hug!"
"AGHHH!!" The militia struggled to get free, but it was useless, and Kai proceeded to squeeze them to death.
"What a mess, they'll surely send more people when they find out about this" Killer commented.
"More sandbags you mean"
"Anyway, let's find a town or a village nearby to rest" Kai said, and everyone walked around for a while before they stumbled upon a village with distinct cylindrical houses that feature roofs with a unique conical shape.
"It looks like a village" Killer commented, but the inhabitants looked very warry of them.
"We're not welcomed here" Bonney remarked "What should we do, we'll freeze to death if we stay out here"
"Let's ask the villagers first" Kai suggested before asking one of the villagers outside about any place they could stay at. The villager looked intimidated by their presence, but he proceeded to point out to a small inn at the end of the road where they could stay.
Kai thanked him and the crew moved on.

Drum Castle,
The Drum Castle, a huge castle located at the top of the largest mountain of the Drum Rockies on Drum Island.
Currently King Wapol is the one residing in it, ruling the Drum Kingdom with an iron fist. Six years ago, he issued that the twenty best doctors, the Isshi-20 work exclusively for him, while the rest of the doctors were banished or killed which will prove to be a grave mistake.
King Wapol was enjoying a feast in his castle, relishing in the daily luxuries of his rule.
However, the tranquil atmosphere was suddenly shattered when a frantic messenger burst into the grand hall. The messenger was panting heavily, his face pale. "Your Majesty, pirates have landed on the island!"
King Wapol's face contorted with a mix of anger and fear. "Pirates? Who are they? Do they know who I am? They dare to challenge me on my own territory?"
The messenger gulped, understanding the gravity of the situation. "We still haven't identified them yet, Your Majesty. But they appear to be strong since they defeat a group of our militia"
"I say we gather our soldiers and deal with them as quick as possible Wapol-sama" Chess a man wearing a checkered jester-like green-blue costume suggested, he's the minister of defense serving under Wapol.
"You are right!" Wapol's paranoia and egocentrism flared. He clutched his cloak and rose from his seat, sending his plate of food crashing to the floor. "Prepare my royal army! I'll show these interlopers that no one crosses King Wapol and lives to tell the tale!"
The messenger scurried away to convey the orders, leaving Wapol seething with anger and a burning desire to assert his dominance over the intruders.
If things didn't look good for Wapol and the people of Drum Island before, it now will look very bad, as another infamous party arrived at the island at the same time as the Eustass Pirates.

The water near Drum Island,
The sea waves churned with a foreboding intensity as a giant raft approached the island. The raft is made up of gigantic trees. Around the sides of the raft are gunports. A large mast is posted in the middle, bearing the flag of pirates and three sails. Another sail is placed at the stern of the raft, behind the main sails.
The raft was flying a Jolly Roger that of three scowling skulls, one looking left, one looking forward, and one looking right. Behind them there are cross intersected sets of bones, in addition to the classic two.
"Looks like we've made it" Van Augur informed, while looking with the spyglass, he's carrying a long rifle, sports a large black hat, protruding out to both sides and wearing glasses with left lens being circular and holding what appears to be a cross hair.
"Let's invade this place then, Zehahaha!" Exclaimed an extremely tall man with dark skin. He has a massive build as his body is round with relatively thin limbs and a prominent lipped mouth with several broken or missing teeth.

"Wherever you do captain" Doc Q looked nonchalant while standing near his unusually large horse, Stronger.
"I say we destroy everything and steal their money! Let's show them how strong we are! Wiiihahaha!" Jesus Burgess exclaimed while flexing his muscles, he's an unusually muscular man, with a broad upper body and a thin lower body in comparison. He's wearing a distinct wrestling mask and a championship belt.
"Alright, we're docking in this island. We are running out of supplies anyway!" Blackbeard ordered while carrying a large bottle of alcohol in his hand, before taking a sip from it.
"Right away, captain" Laffitte responded by adjusting his black hat. He's an incredibly pale man carrying a red wooden can and wearing a pair of gold hoop earrings.
"It seems that we're not alone…" Augur stated while still looking with spyglass before he spotted the Victoria Punk docked on the island "…Pirates"
"Huh? Pirates? There is nothing to be concerned about, they're most likely a bunch of rookies who just entered the Grand Line" Blackbeard said with confident, he didn't seem to take them seriously "Leave them alone, pipsqueaks like them aren't worth my time"
"Well, not quite your usual rookies…The Eustass Pirates" Van Augur said, recognizing their Jolly Roger.
"Oh, those red hair brats, they've been appearing on the newspaper quite frequently these days…we'll just kill them if they get in the way, Zehahaha!"
