Capítulo 85: Night Fulmination

A figure slowly emerged from the ashen river.

The first thing Laemno noticed was a wooden stave, simple and crude yet bearing carved inscriptions that oozed a sense of occultism. It replaced the head and neck of the creature, covered by a gray, tattered himation that hid the lower part of its body.

Slithering bumps coursed underneath its garb, revealing two human-faced eels that gracefully coiled around its skeletal hands.

One of them spoke in a whispering tone, chilling and oddly reverberating, "Thee hast broken the peace of eternal dusk, spawn of the soil—"

The other one continued without missing a beat, "For every sin, there is punishment. To us cometh the duty to mete it out."

Laemno braced himself, gathering the Mana around him despite his weakening strength. The grayscale flow responded sluggishly, seemingly fighting his control.

"Who are you?" He asked, trying to buy some time.
