Opal had barely begun her search when a pair of police officers grabbed her, handcuffing her. "You're under arrest for the suspected murder of your parents," one of them declared, eyes filled with disdain.

She was shoved into a police vehicle, despair setting in. A familiar face appeared on the horizon. Tristan, bags of groceries still in hand, locked eyes with her. Their gaze was a silent vow, a promise renewed.

In a heartbeat, the groceries were abandoned, and Tristan gave chase, revealing an uncanny speed that only an Esper could possess. With a swift, powerful motion, he struck the vehicle, causing it to skid to a stop.

"Opal!" he yelled. "Close your eyes, trust me."

Obeying immediately, she squeezed them shut, not wanting to see Tristan in his furious state.
