The morning light filtered through the sleek curtains, casting a gentle glow into the dimly lit room. Rafe stirred from his slumber, his consciousness gradually awakening. Despite feeling the awakening, he yearned for a few more moments of rest. 

It had been ages since he had slept so comfortably, free from the weight of responsibilities that often kept him awake into the late hours. The habit of burning the midnight oil for work or studies had taken its toll on his ability to sleep soundly.

As he shifted in bed, Rafe's hand instinctively reached for the warm bundle beside him, serving as a makeshift pillow. He nestled closer to it, relishing its softness and warmth. The soothing sensation offered a sense of comfort that he hadn't experienced in a long while.

The cheerful chirping of birds outside the window signalled the arrival of a new day. 

Rafe mumbled to himself, still laced with sleepiness, "Just a little while longer, please..."
