Capítulo 8: Chapter 8- First Dungeon

It was the first gate of his life which Haru was going to venture so he chose to be on the safer side and decided to settle with D-rank for now. And it helped that he didn't have to roam around to find the gate since it was relatively close to Jinah's house.

Haru knew that he was strong, given the training he has gone through and the skill he possesses, but he didn't want to get ahead of himself and test his strength patiently.

It takes some time for the Hunter Organization to detect a gate and after the procedures, put it on the web for auction so the guilds could bid a price for the gate and claim it for themselves.

'Hmmm? '

Titling his head, Haruto tried to hear the lurking monsters around and soon he heard small movements. It was too thin for many high-ranking hunters to realize but not for Haru who has trained his senses to the maximum of what he could accomplish.

'Reptiles...? '

Haru heard a whipping sound like the air was being slashed and also the sound of slithering along with it, signifying that it was the residence of cold-blooded creatures.

**SHAAA**

Soon the aggressive hissing sound of a two-meter snake whose body had dark blue shining scales and piercing dull yellow eyes appeared some feet apart from Haru, ready to attack the intrusion who appeared from the other side of the gate.

Not only that one but many similar creatures of varying lengths and different shades began appearing all around. Some on either side and some even on the ceiling as well. There were almost three dozen in view and many others creeping in the shadows, all waiting to jump on their prey just with th slight moment of reaction from Haru.

'Wonderful...that's what I call an experimental stage... '

Haru did move but not to kill the snakes but just raised his index finger in front of his face and channeled his mana to initiate the Curse Technique Lapse, Blue.

Through the amplification of his negative energy, he created a small void that forces the space and reality itself to fill the negative void and as a conclusion, what formed was a small black hole that began attracting everything in the target range.

Haru was entirely confused at the start, that how he would use the Lapse or inverse when he doesn't have the limitless but through teachings and his special body constitution, the requirement of Limitless was erased from the system.

Haru felt like it was really too far-fetched and the Goddess should've granted him the Limitless to solve most of the issues. But alas...

"Damn..."

Watching the show in front, Haru raised his brows since he didn't know that even without using the maximum output of Lapse Blue he would be able to clean off the dungeon in one go.

Each of the greater serpents was sucked into the hole while hissing and crying in alarm. Even before they could have launched their first assault, the weird whirlpool began attracting each one of them along with the big boulders and roof spikes along as well.

Slowly yet surely, the whole dungeon except for the boss room was renovated as all the living entities except for two were wiped away and ceased from reality like they never existed in the first place.

The wormhole closed itself in it and the cave once again fell into silence as Haru nodded in satisfaction before he began walking toward the bigger source of mana resting at the end of the place.

'Well, I better use this for now... '

Materializing the sword which was carved out of the ring that Haru wore on his thumb previously, he walked toward the boss.

It was a gift from his martial art teacher that Haru can wear on his finger in the shape of a ring and change into any kind of weapon at will. The artifact was made while keeping Haru's peculiar mana in consideration so the boy could enhance the weapon with his magical energy as well.

Currently, Haru drew a picture of a generic blunt sword since he wanted to test himself with this new weapon.

'It's quite light... '

Flexing the sword, Haru nonchalantly moved forward and completely ignored the murderous glare he was receiving from the two dark red orbs which had thin needle-like slits in between.

The killing intent permeated heavily in the cave to the point that it might have made E-ranked hunters unconscious due to overwhelmedness and suffocation. It was heavy like a blanket that weighs on a human's sanity rather than the body.

However, the raven-haired youth seemed entirely unaffected as he finally halted in his steps and lifted his face to look at the five meters long snake glaring at him.

Unlike the others, it had pure white scales which shone brightly under the illumination of mana stones fixated around the walls. Its long whip-like tongue slashed the open air and the continuous twitch of the tail signified that the creature was about to lunge at its prey.

***SHHHAAA**

As he thought, the massive creature launched forward with its massive body straightening in a line and big mouth which had two sharp fangs ready to tier its prey who dared to kill its children, ready to gulp Haru in one go.

The condensed smell of venom suffused heavily but it was not something that bothered Haru as he channeled his mana while staying idle at his spot like he didnt care about such a massive thing only ten or so feet apart from engulfing him.

The black blade of his sword began glittering with red energy which was the nature of his mana as Haru fortified his weapon and waited patiently for his prey to come into the field of his hanging.

Just as the snake was about to reach its prey, something whispered out the human's lips which was the last thing, that the giant serpent heard.

"Secret Sword Art: Saigeki."

***SWOOOSH**

The snake had its ruby eyes wide apart, not because the human suddenly vanished in thin air but because the snake also felt something going through its body and exiting from the tip of its already dying tail.

***SPRUTT**

Purple blood sprayed all around the cave as the previous hissing and glaring serpent was bisected into two clean halves with Haru standing on the rear end of the snake while bathed in the same purple shade signifying how terrifyingly he moved just now to accomplish something like that.

Clutching the sword in his hand, Haru nodded in satisfaction since as he expected of himself, Haru didn't falter in his sword art nor the mana augmentation of his weapon despite it being pure blunt.

He was able to use one of the seven sword arts through his physical might and replicate the technique he has been shown back in the domain.

The technique [Saigeki] provides him with incredible physical might which is suitable for frontal assault and the best medium to charge and surprise the target right off the bat.

Despite the use of it back in the domain Haru never was able to determine the full extent of this technique considering the opponents he had to face back then. But now...he had to admit that his sword arts are overpowered.

"Well, let's go back and take a bath first. I stink like shit..."

Whistling, Haru began strolling back to the dungeon gate after he finished off his first dungeon within eight minutes of the period. He himself doesn't know what kind of monstrosity he has become without even realizing it.
