Before Ursula had time to react or even think about what he said, Axel Eriksson added:
"Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against strong women in positions of power. If you had said that your overriding goal was to be Olaf's successor, it wouldn't have changed the fact that I think of you very positively and would still like us to marry. However, I was secretly hoping that you would answer as you did. You see, I also have some ambitions and also want to achieve something of my own."
That sounded interesting. And bold. The son wanted to step out of his father's shadow?
"So you expect me to stay at home and bear children?" Ursula raised her eyebrows slightly.
"If that's what you want," he announced. "But what I really hoped for was that we would build the company together, from scratch. We won't wait for the inheritance of the old generation. We will make the business world hear our own voice."
Ursula's heart hit harder.
