Capítulo 7: Little Five!

It was now almost afternoon, the children were gone already. So, Yun Xi was preparing to take a nap for a while before her evening walk.

The shine from her body didn't fade away till now. Because she takes a bath every night on the fish pond near school.

The pond water was clear and the surface was low, so she didn't have a hard time taking a bath.

The children also seemed to like her cleanliness, so they will caress her beautiful shiny black fur happily when they play with her.

She wasn't bad news for them despite being a black cat.

But what she didn't know was that there was a group of people who were looking for her tiredly. But still didn't find any good news for their master.

"Have you found any trace of that yet?" Jun Shang asked lightly.

"We are sorry, master." Feng Ming didn't hide his failure. He wasn't able to find the black cat that night.

"Could it be that the black cat actually descended from the heavens to help out the Young Master that night?" An Ding questioned Feng Ming, making him speechless.

"If what you said was true, then you will get cursed by it and turn into a black sheep. Don't you remember how you cursed it as a bad omen?" Feng Ming also said with a serious tone.

An Ding shuddered at the thought of turning into a black sheep.

No, no. I can't become a black sheep!

Jun Shang, who was hearing their conversation from the other side of the call, "..."

Can you be more serious?

"Quit your stupid bark and find the cat! I'm coming there as well," Jun Shang ordered them and cut off the line.

"Wait, Young Master!" Feng Ming didn't have the time to tell him not to come here. This estate was really dangerous for his Young Master.

Feng Ming really wanted to cry right now.

'Where did you go, Miss or Mister cat? I beg you, please show up as soon as possible!'

Sneeze!

'Who the hell is bad mouthing me!' Yun Xi had a bad feeling as she coughed and sneezed.

***

Recently, there is some talk in town that children are suddenly disappearing out of nowhere, almost everyone was talking about this.

Naturally, Yun Xi also heard it, but she didn't know how so many little children were disappearing into thin air.

'Was it child trafficking?' She heard about trafficking before, but never actually encountered one.

But even if Yun Xi knew it was something bad happening outside, she didn't have anything to do about this.

If she was a human just like before, she could've tried to help them out, but now that she was a helpless little cat herself, she didn't have the ability to help them in any way.

Yun Xi felt really bad whenever she saw a family was crying, or the children in school were crying for their lost friend, she also felt bad.

So she also started to stop going anywhere and spent much of her time on the tree branch.

That was until she found out their route on a fateful night.

***

Tonight was a full moon night. So Yun Xi felt pretty cheerful as she jumped off of the tree and started to walk around.

There is a special night market that opens every full moon night.

And people from the whole town come to enjoy the night as well as to shop for their groceries.

Yun Xi feels like it's a fair like she saw in her own world, so she also comes to see the market.

The night market really lives up to its reputation as it always remains open till dawn.

So Yun Xi also went there to relieve her boredom.

She was just wandering around while watching the shopkeepers and the buyers who were looking for their shopping.

There is a jewel shop, food shop, grocery shop and what not.

She just kept wandering around, but suddenly a beautiful scent came in her nose while she was passing by a shop.

The steamed buns that they were making gave out a beautiful smell, which made her mouth watery as she looked at the stack of buns with gleaming eyes.

But the boy who was serving people the buns saw her and got alert in a second as he tried to shoo her away.

When Yun Xi saw the alertness on his face, she scoffed at him as she walked away while swaying her tail.

"Meow, meow," < I was just looking, it's not like I'm going to steal them, alright?>

She puffed her face like an angry raccoon as she was walking away. But suddenly someone called her from behind.

She was surprised to hear someone calling her, so she looked back to see who it was.

"Little Five! Is that you?" a little boy around seven or eight was calling her as he ran towards her.

The boy studied in the school where she lived. And he was a good and kind boy with a cute and chubby face.

Yun Xi liked him a lot as he would also pet her and give her good food to eat. His parents were also kind and honest with him.

"Meow!" <It's me!>

She jumped in happiness as she ran towards the little boy and fell in his arms.

"Chen, don't run like that. You'll get hurt if you fall," his father reminded him as he also walked towards them with a smile on his face.

"Papa, see who it is! Little Five is also here to see the market!" He was excited as he talked with his father.

"Oh my! Is that Little Five? It's good to see her here," his mother also came forward.

Cough, cough… Well, this is Yun Xi's pet name given by the school going little fellas.

After they became pretty close with each other, they started to call her by this pet name.
