Capítulo 556: Chapter 556: Baron Geddon

"Evade!" Just as the magma erupted, the leading ancient red dragon warned its companions in Draconic.

The seven red dragons hastily flapped their wings, performing elegant aerial rolls in midair. They narrowly avoided the impact, but their majestic grace was momentarily disrupted.

Red dragons, who reveled in the power of flame, now faced a foe equally versed in fire. While they should've been evenly matched, the ancient red dragon's countenance displayed profound gravity. It ordered the squadron to disperse and hover, closely watching the mysterious creature emerging from the magma.

On the battlefield, the skirmish was momentarily halted. The once dark land was illuminated by a brilliant flash, transforming it into a dazzling expanse.

For a moment, everyone felt as though they were witnessing the sun's rise.

But it wasn't a sun descending from the heavens; rather, it was a true sun surging from the depths below.

The immense Searing Gorge fissure seemed tailor-made for this entity, from which emanated a blinding yellow radiance that none could bear to gaze upon. Along with it came an unbearable heat.

"By the spirits, the Red Dragonflight has met its match..." Duke mumbled, witnessing the spectacle. He tried to communicate through the magical channel, only to find it disrupted due to the intense elemental fluctuations.

Realizing the impending catastrophe, Duke urgently gestured for Magni to get down. He then swiftly tackled the Windrunner sisters to the ground. Since Vereesa was in Elwynn Forest, after ensuring Alleria and Sylvanas' safety, he inadvertently grabbed onto Sylvanas in a somewhat compromising manner.

Sylvanas, was not amused. However, when even Magni started screaming in Dwarvish for everyone to "Get down!", she quickly grasped the severity of the situation.

Time seemed to stand still.

From the chasm, the superheated entity unleashed an even more terrifying wave of heat.

No, this was no mere heatwave. It was a pure explosion.

The shockwave from the blast effortlessly displaced the surrounding air. What was eerily unsettling was that this faster-than-sound shockwave was completely silent.

Whether it was a commander shouting orders or a soldier in the midst of battle, all discovered the sudden absence of sound. It lasted for a few seconds, then the world seemed to erupt in a horrifying cacophony.

The devastating shockwave, starting from the Alliance's right flank, swept across the battlefield. Anything taller than a meter bore the brunt of its force.

The orcs, believing they had the upper hand, were the first to be blown away by the shockwave mixed with molten lava. They were hurled into the air and were charred before they could even struggle.

The fiercest fire assault primarily affected the Alliance's right flank. By the time it reached the central formation, due to the angle of ejection, a majority of the fire elementals ascended diagonally. Thus, the fiery blast became a pure shockwave. Whether it was a four-meter tall ogre or a knight mounted on a heavily armored steed, all who dared to stand were swept away by the gale.

A smoky haze enveloped the land.

From the center of the right flank, a soft elvish laughter emerged.

Sylvanas chuckled, "Duke, why didn't you use [Ice Barrier] this time?"

The Duke, caught in an awkward position between Alleria and Sylvanas, responded, "It's not the final moment yet." He then looked at the gargantuan entity rising from the Searing Gorge.

Not just him, everyone who regained their senses stared blankly at the chasm's center.

Duke didn't hesitate. Amplifying his voice with magic, he shouted, "Everyone, if you wish to live, retreat to the central formation!"

Cunningly, Duke used the system's translation feature to shout in Dwarvish. He then led his people towards the central formation without a second thought.

A magnificent scene unfolded: around forty thousand dwarves, under Duke's leadership, began a militaristic sprint. Before the bewildered orc left flank could react, they had already covered several hundred meters.

Behind them, the rising magma seemed alive. It bubbled and rolled, slowly forming a massive flame elemental, shaped like an inverted triangle and only showing its upper half.

On the battlefield, the survivors stared in horror at this colossal fire elemental, its shoulder width alone spanning nearly fifty meters.

To the mages, simple elements were referred to as flame or frost elementals. Only beings were directly called 'fire elementals'.

The appearance of such a gigantic fire elemental was beyond comprehension.

This was no ordinary elemental lord; this was a king-tier fire elemental. What terrifying creature had emerged?

Sylvanas, always curious, finally asked, "What in Azeroth is that?"

Duke gritted his teeth, "Baron Geddon! One of Ragnaros the Firelord's lieutenants!"

Memories of countless in-game wipeouts against this legendary boss flooded Duke's mind. The appearance of Baron Geddon, a boss from 25 years in the future, was utterly illogical.

With a grim determination, Duke thought, "This cannot stand."
