Capítulo 172: Chapter 172: Resolved

Jack looked at the Great Protector in front of him and felt somewhat disappointed.

It looked good, but it was far from the dragon he had imagined.

He had thought about keeping it as a pet at first, but now...

It's better to forget about it.

The Great Protector was also confused by the human in front of him.

He had just been peacefully sleeping underwater when he was suddenly awakened by a powerful energy wave.

He quickly got out of the water because he thought the nasty Soul Eater had escaped.

The Dark Door remained closed, but there was a man standing in front of it.

As he made eye contact with Jack, the Great Protector couldn't help but feel a hint of disdain in his gaze.

Hmm... It must be an illusion... probably.

Jack observed him for a moment, muttering something that the Great Protector couldn't quite hear.

Before he could react, his surroundings suddenly blurred, and he found himself floating above the Ta-Lo.

Sending the Great Protector away without any interruption, Jack turned to look at the Dark Door.

A faint and piercing roar echoed from behind the door.

Just by listening to the sound, Jack could sense the evil nature of the Soul Eaters.

The sound wasn't just a simple roar; it carried a mysterious power that could affect the mind.

If an ordinary person were to hear this sound, they would likely lose focus for a moment and have their soul consumed by these creatures.

This only strengthened Jack's determination to eliminate them.

The world was already chaotic enough; these beast shouldn't keep making things worse.

He raised his hand, palm facing the Dark Door, and in the next second, he clenched his fist.

Crack!

Like the sound of shattering glass, cracks suddenly appeared on the once slightly glowing Dark Door.

Soon, they spread across the entire door, and the red light that was still present vanished instantly.

The villagers of Ta-Lo, who were prepared for battle, stared blankly at the shattered Dark Door, their faces filled with despair.

Jack casually clapped his hands, looking at the crumbling Dark Door.

Just as he was wondering why there was no movement, the Dark Door exploded with a loud bang.

Boom!

Roar!

A huge bird-like creature with tentacles flew out of the spread-out dust, followed by many smaller versions of the same creature.

Soul Eaters!

Just by looking at their appearance, Jack couldn't help but feel disgusted.

They completely ignored Jack, their savior who had freed them from their imprisonment, and flew straight towards the other side of the lake where the Ta-Lo villagers were.

Just as the Soul Eaters were about to reach the center of the lake, where the Great Protector and the Ta-Lo villagers were waiting for them...

Ding!

A blue energy barrier emerged out of nowhere and stopped them in their path.

The Soul Eaters were going so fast that they couldn't stop in time.

They crashed right into the barrier, making a chaotic mess of big and small creatures.

"..."

Not to mention the Tarot villagers, even the experienced Great Protector, were quickly confused and couldn't figure out what was happening.

Others were confused, but Wanda just looked at the Soul Eaters without being shocked, as if her mind was somewhere else.

At this moment, she could finally relax.

Suddenly, the center of the lake underwent another change.

The Soul Eaters quickly recovered and tried to change direction as if they wanted to get through from a different location.

However, it was useless.

They didn't know it, but blue barriers showed up above, below, to the left, and to the right.

They got tighter as if trying to wrap the creatures like dumplings.

Although the Soul Eaters were not smart, they had this common sense.

They desperately tried to escape but soon realized, to their horror, that there was no gap in the blue barriers surrounding them.

They couldn't fly away.

And Jack, who was responsible for everything, stood at the edge of the cliff and pulled his hand back.

On the top of the lake, the blue barrier suddenly shrank and became about the size of a tennis ball.

The next moment, this tennis ball appeared in Jack's hand.

"Done!"

Jack just nodded as he looked at the brilliant blue ball that looked like a gem.

This thing was easier to handle than he had imagined.

With a step forward, he returned directly to Ta-Lo.

At that moment, the villagers and even the Great Protector were still bewildered, looking up at the sky.

Where did the Soul Eaters go?

They were just here, a large group of them!

Jack walked up to Wanda, gently kissing her forehead, and whispered, "You still have me, Wanda."

He gestured towards the ball in his hand and asked, "How do you want to deal with these disgusting things?"

He intended to give Wanda the power to decide since she was the victim.

Wanda remained silent, her expression complicated as she glanced at the ball in Jack's hand and slowly shook her head. "It's up to you."

"Then I'll decide," Jack replied.

Wanda didn't feel like deciding, so Jack took charge.

Just as he was about to completely eradicate the Soul Eaters, Ying Li came over.

She glanced at the ball and looked at Jack with a hint of suspicion. "Is it... inside there?"

"Yes, the Soul Eaters are all inside," Jack openly admitted, surprising Ying Li, who had intended to ask about the situation.

She quickly took a few steps back, staring at the ball in Jack's hand in fear.

"Um... no need to worry," Jack awkwardly reassured her.

"They can't cause any trouble anymore. Whether they live or die is entirely up to me."

At that moment, Guang Bo approached with a gloomy expression on his face, seemingly in a bad mood and ready to kill someone.

Seeing that Guang Bo was after him, Jackg hastily threw the ball to him and shouted,

"The Soul Eaters are yours now. It's up to you whether to kill them or not. I have something to attend to, so I'll be on my way."

After saying that, Jack grabbed Wanda's hand and disappeared in a flash.

Leaving Guang Bo holding the ball, his face filled with confusion, the final words from Jack made his previously gloomy face turn pale.

He had almost dropped the ball from his hands.

Other people also looked at the ball and thought about one thing:

How do they get rid of it?

Jack didn't know what Ta-Lo's villagers planned to do with the Soul Eaters.

In fact, there was nothing they could do about it.

As long as he was alive, no one could break through the barrier of pure energy, and nothing inside could get out.

Wanda's problem was finally over, and they could continue their trip.

Even though they had a small problem along the way, Jack thought the rest of the trip would go as planned... right?
