Capítulo 33: Make sure she comes!

ON THE OTHER SIDE, LIN RESIDENCE

The Lin family was hosting a party to celebrate the engagement between Lin Qian's daughter, Lin Xue and Han group young master Han Shuoxi.

The floor had been decorated in beautiful baby blue and the guests included top celebrities.

Lin Xue was currently inside her room. She was wearing a white gown that flowed beautifully. Her mother Ji Lingyu stood by her side as she admired her daughter, "Our Xiao Xue is looking beautiful tonight."

Lin Xue smiled at her reflection on the mirror, "Stop it mother..."

Ji Lingyu smiled but another voice spoke from the door, "You don't have to feel embarrassed, you are the star of the show tonight, Lin Xue.'

It was Han Shuoxi.

He was dressed in a tuxedo which matched so well with Lin Xue. He went over and pulled Lin Xue up.

Lin Xue blushed deeply, "Stop, my mother is still here."

Ji Lingyu excused herself, "You youngsters should exercise some restraint!"

Her voice was reproachful yet her face was all smiles. Lin Xue blushed even deeper.

Once her mother had left, Han Shuoxi pulled Lin Xue towards him and wrapped his hands around her waist, "My Xue is making me hungry tonight!"

Lin Xue pretended to push him away, "Is that all you think about all day, we just did it before!"

Han Shuoxi pretended not to hear her, "Once is not enough, besides, this is all your fault!"

Lin Xue plastered herself closer to him, "It is not my fault! It is you who is always hungry!"

With that, the two began kissing profusely. Their bodies then rocked together for a while before they let each other go. Once Han Shuoxi had buttoned up his shirt he heard Lin Xue ask, "Did you manage to invite sister?"

Han Shuoxi looked at her, "I did not get a chance to talk to her after that so I don't think she will come tonight."

Lin Xue's fingers dug deep into her hands but her face held a blooming smile, "To think that she already has a husb..."

She wanted to say husband but Han Shuoxi cut her off, "Don't think about her. Let us think about us for the moment alright?'

The word husband left a bitter taste on Han Shuoxi's mouth. He could not believe that Lin Ye had actually gotten married.

Lin Xue smiled at him, "Okay babe! Now hurry out so that I can finish dressing up already!"

Han Shuoxi gave her a squeeze before he left and Lin Xue was left in giggles but once the door had been closed, her face turned sour and her eyes hateful.

She took out her phone and made a call. Once the call was connected she smiled, her voice chilly, "She is not yet here, do something. I don't care what you do but make sure she comes!"

If Lin Ye failed to come then there was no point in holding such a big engagement party. She wanted her to come and see everything that she had lost!

If she did not come on her own then she would use all means possible to make sure she came!

Once she said that, she hung up abruptly and resumed preparing herself, the glint in her eyes never receding the slightest.

Outside, several celebrities had graced the event. The top actress Shen Lili was there and she was currently swamped with people who wanted her autograph.

Superstars like Zhang Feng and Zhou Boli were also present. All that was left was for the lady of the moment, Lin Xue to come down.

The people drank and made merry as they waited for her.

Back at the hospital, Lin Ye was fast asleep when her phone rang. Chen Xi looked at it but he did not wake her up. The person who was calling was her father.

After a few seconds, it rang once more, this time it woke Lin Ye up from her nap.

Chen Xi held the phone towards her and Lin Ye received it.

She picked it up and her fathers calm voice could be heard, "You have not gone to Lin Xue's engagement party?"

Lin Ye woke up, "Not really. I had an emergency surgery that ended some minutes ago."

His father nodded even though she could not see him, "You should at least be there, grandfather wants to see you."

Lin Ye frowned, "Dad, I don't want to go there and you already know that, wait did you say grandfather wants to see me? What for?"

She could not forget the fashion by which her grandfather, Lin Mufan had sent them away from the Lin family back then and now he wanted to see her?

Her father sighed, "If you don't want to go then fine but please go back and take a look at him for me, I think there is something going on there."

Her father's tone was grave, Lin Ye understood.

What Lin Ye liked about her father was that he never forced her to do anything but right now that he had specifically asked her to go, Lin Ye knew that the situation was a bit dire so she had to go.

Once she hung up, she looked at Chen Xi, "I have to go now."

Chen Xi understood, "Do you want me to go with you?"
