Michaella, Next in line to be the head of the Altopiano family as she was a lady known for her strong mentality as she hasn't given up even when things look dire.
A maiden with brownish smooth hair and ebony eyes, She was oozing with an adorable sense of beauty as anyone would say aww in her presence.
Her beauty made her to be hated at her younger years as many found her to be a threat to their love life as even men believed that she was interested in their women due to her brother being interested in other men.
This forced her to strengthen her mind in order to not be affected by the hateful stare of many who were simply jealous of her appearance.
Currently sitting on the chair of the head of the family, she was present at the meeting room as on the right side of the table all the elders that were present while on the left the prominent members of the current generation of the family was present.
Her posture was simply oozing with pure elegance and strength as they all were looking at her as if it was her father was there in her place.
" What is the meaning of this.." Michaella asked right after someone appeared out of shadow and got a dagger really close to her neck.
She didn't flinch or move but simply said as she moved her lips to utter those words as the blade was just 1 mm away from touching her bare skin.
" My my, it seems you are really his daughter.." One of the Elder's spoke while looking at her.
" Well, it was a test to see whether you are fit to lead this family..." Another Elder commented.
" Beniamino had to undergo this test when he was 8 and he killed the assassin with his bare hands.." Another Elder spoke.
" Well, That is Beniamino and this is his daughter.. he was strong on the outside but he gave us an iron lady who has an unbreakable will and mentality.." One of the Elder's said.
" We are in luck to have received you Michaella, The next head of the Altopiano family.." One of the Elder's told her.
" It seems the Elders are still keeping their childishness... Shall we begin the meeting.." Michaella simply sighed as she didn't expect the Elder's to do something like this.
House of Altopiano is the oldest household in the Empire as it is said that the house has lineage of the Emperors of the former Empire of Roma which ruled half of Europa and north of Aphrike.
The house survived by staying close to the pope as when Roma fell due to the House of Franks rebelling in France, Constant attack of the people of Scottia onto land ruled by Roma in Brittany, Germanic tribes constant raids on the north and Several states along with black dragons attacks over regions ruled by Roma on the northern part of Aphrike.
After the fall of Roma, The pope crowned the House of Franks as the next Emperor of Roma but the Germanic tribes United and after 50 years of conflict, The Empire of Dawn was forged with the fall of the House of Franks.
The pope crowned chief of the United tribes who won as a new Empire and Emperor rose but due to the house of Altopiano being protected by the pope, Dawn was unable to do anything against them.
Slowly, Altopianos got influence in the Capital City of Berin but due to gaining strength the Church got wary of them.
To avoid the Churches constant stalking, Altopiano went to Sicily, exterminated the Lord of Sicily and his entire family as making the whole island their dominion.
The Empire of Dawn only ruled mainland Europa so in a way, staying in Sicily made the Altopiano an independent force which also placed them in the extermination list of Rhodes.
Rhodes wanted to take over the Empire and place the seat of power on paris as in a way returning the power to France.
Altopiano was a threat as they were influential, can easily escape persecution, under strict protection and is being watched by thee Church so Rhodes simply didn't want a family who were supported by the largest religion of the Empire and something which can escape to just return and destroy Rhodes.
What made Altopianos really dangerous was under the era of the Empire of Roma, Altopianos Originally worked as the daggers of the Emperor.
They were tasked with assassination and 2000 years of assassination lineage made them learn arts which could help them be anywhere and everywhere as they'll hide in the darkness for years, waiting and waiting till the right time comes to strike and kill their target.
In a way Rhodes knew the shadows of Altopiano can easily exterminate their family out of nowhere as this fear makes Altopiano a threat.
" Michaella, I understand you wish to make your brother as the head of this family in front of the public while being the actual head who controls from the shadows but the church would not allow a person who loved another man to be the head of the strongest house in Italy.." One of the Elder's said.
" Not to mention the fact that he loved a young squire who was studying to be a priest of the church...." One of the Elders said.
" I- I am sorry for being like this..." Michael said as the elders were specifically targeting him and his sexuality and his past.
" Sorry doesn't cut it.. he was 14 and you were 19... You were found fucking a kid by the priests of the Church... " One of the Elders spoke with an angry tone.
" If it weren't for Beniamino cutting his thumb as punishment which took to ensure you won't get punished, You would have been castrated, forced to walk across Italy fully naked and then drowned to death... " One of the Elders said.
" We do not say that loving a man is a problem.. it's the fact that you didn't control yourself and fucked a boy, a young boy belonging to the church.... We will not prevent you from marrying your new lover since that squire got tortured to death for letting you fuck him..." One of the Elders said.
" Control your lust Michael, we do not deny your rights to have a man but that would mean we cannot allow you to be the head of the family even if it's a farce as the church would use it as an excuse to kill you and put mute restrictions over the family..." One of the Elders said.
" Please, he knows and he won't do it against elders but again the church won't accept me to be the head of this family... They only approve of patriarchy more than matriarchy..." Michaella intervened to remove the topic of her brother's past.
" It is fine Michaella.. all of us approve and will suggest you to be the head.. not from the shadows but we want you to lead this house.. to bring our glory back and to annihilate our enemies who wish to exterminate us..." One of Elder's replied to her words.
" What about the church..." Michaella asked in a worried tone.
" Hmm, church is a problem.." One of the Elders said.
" Ah that's fine, I'll give my right hand as an exchange for allowing you to be the head of the house.." One of the Elders replied to her.
Altopiano was a family with a strong bond since all of them lived together under one house. This ensured that they had a powerful bond.
Family was their greatest strength and weakness as the family head was tasked with guarding the house with their family hence why.
In the Northern region of the Empire, inside a snack..
Current head of the house of Altopiano, Beniamino was seen tied to a chair completely wounded as his face has bruises.
Meanwhile on Paris,
" My Lord, the special anti insurgency forces from the east has arrived..." A butler spoke while standing in front of the office door of Pierre Vermont.
Meanwhile at the Capital,
" My Lord the Emperor, The Dragon slayers daughter has arrived as per your request.." The Royal Guard spoke while kneeling down in front of the Holy Emperor of Dawn.
Meanwhile on the City of Moskva,
" My lord, It seems Rodriguez has been caught in an encirclement.." The messenger said while kneeling in front of the Tsar.
Europa was about to get multiple major events across its territory but meanwhile on the western region of the Empire under the control of Union of Dawn, a rebel faction..
" Did you really think, you can beat me.." Allen spoke while smirking as he was seen sitting on-top of a 300 ft long leviathan on the shores of Europa as he was simply yawning..
" Not yet eh.." He uttered while looking back towards the mainland in an ominous tone as if a disaster would soon fall onto the mainland.
