As Seraphina was just finishing brewing a fresh pot of coffee, she noticed her first guest coming down the stairs. Upon seeing her, the teenager was startled.
Jack was not in a bright mood.
As of last night, his body was causing him a lot of pain. In front of Edwin, Jack at first claimed to be okay, however, his forehead was covered in beads of sweat, which suggested something was not right.
Sadly, Edwin didn't notice and when Jack explained it subtly, he didn't believe it or cared. As soon as Edwin left, Jack regretted his behaviour. It would have been better if he had shown him his weak side. In the end, it was pointless to maintain my pride. In dejection, he sighed.
At that moment, he began to worry about Edwin, as he heard the sound of his fall. The walk to the door was like walking through a torture chamber. Eventually, he opened the door to see the dark hallway through the light in his room.
