Dena was confused. She had no idea how much time she had slept. She opened her eyes once more and blinked multiple times. Her eyes searched for a glimmer of light. Even so, it was dark. She tried to feel or move her arms, but it was useless. There was no sensation of fabric on her body. The silence was nerve-wracking. Dena focused on hearing any sound besides her breathing.
' Where am I? Why is this quiet?'
She turned her stiff neck to the sides to find ant barriers around her head. Her warm breath landed back on her face. ' Oh, I guessed right.'
The first time she woke up, she felt as though she was blind and paralysed. However, with this experiment, she was sure her body was confined to a place like a coffin this time.
' If I were in a science fiction book, this place would be a treatment cabin. Then I would wake up with a robotic body.' Dena smiled, imagining the scene.
