There is still tenseness in both men as they approach me and Zeke. I understand their lack of trust perfectly. I don't trust them, either.

Anyone who carries that many weapons on them is either a weirdo, or some variation of a soldier on duty. Neither is safe to be around.

Guns, when wielded by people, kill. I saw more deaths in the last week than in my entire previous life.

The man called Grasshopper gives me and Zeke a charming smile, generously peppered with scientific excitement.

"I'm Agent Grasshopper, and my surly companion here is Agent Jade. We are representatives of an organization that's… Well, we are not *exactly* Men in Black, miss, but there are definitely similarities." Grasshopper chuckles and scratches the back of his neck. "Regardless, no matter how our appearance might look, we don't have to be enemies to you."
