Caspian glanced at the window, reminiscing. He then tilted his head to face Naida and smiled bitterly. Naida was quiet, but a sense of longing surfaced along her expression after a while. She then said, "In the past… I was the same as you."
"I was too weak back then… and my family had suffered greatly… leaving my family dead," Naida had a defeated look on her face. With a sad glance, she sighed. "But the past is no more… but for you… this is your beginning."
Caspian nodded as he felt terrible for Naida. "I'm sorry for your loss."
"Not to worry… I've already passed that phase. I regret not being able to save my brother from Fallen's evilness… but it was not my fault to begin with. All I can do is live past it."
"Hey, you're a tough person, and I respect you for it," Caspian smiled as he had a gist of what Naida had to go through, especially after seeing the trace of emotion on her face when she saw her brother.
