When the meeting was over, Ryan and Eris walked out of the base together. There was a little surprise among the travelers at seeing the two, it was unusual and even surprising how close the Monarch was to the Hero of the Black Flames. 

Some commented that perhaps the two of them just wanted to discuss strategy; this theory made sense. In the end, it was just curious how the two had become friends so quickly. Ryan and Eris were talking a lot via mental transmissions, so at least the girl didn't sound like a weird robot.

"Do you think your black flames can hold off a marine attack? Creating a whirlpool on this scale is more complex than it seems," said Eris, who looked thoughtful.
