Capítulo 30: Bitten Twice

Arissa looked at her father like he had just lost his mind. How in hell's name did he think that a little manipulation as that is what he needs as a push to get her to do their bidding?

Initially, she was on her way to the hospital in a cab so she stopped off at her parent's house to get her only last piece remaining there - her motorcycle.

It all sounded wired in her ears. The fact that her once-noble father is the one spouting out white lies as this for greed's sake made her sick to her stomach.

"So Mr. Lincoln. You are saying all I need is to get this particular document from the Wyatt safe and I would be off this marriage hook?" she asked her father in a very polite and business manner as she looked into his eyes.

"That is what I mean Arissa. And not only that, Adele would get to meet her real parents," he added in an eager convincing manner as he sat up in his seat with anticipation.
