Damien's words snapped Isla from her daze. She then gathered herself and answered after clearing her throat. 

''My Damien is the best baby in the world. She must be jealous that I have a wonderful child like you.'' As she was speaking, she opened the lid of the copper pot. Hot mist from the creamy bubbling porridge danced in the air, and she began to move her wooden spoon inside the pot.

It was not news to Isla that the marchioness mendes had children before the villainess. In fact, her two sons also behaved like the marquess after her death.
