Capítulo 18: Something's brewing up
Just like any other day of Hikaru's new form of mundane life, the eyes of every student were aimed at himself. Was it due to the grand and triumphant glory of the ace Sana Majima? The mysterious air that followed him around and his excuse of covering his face? Or was it the fact that the prodigal genius laid eyes for him alone, or the change of the rash young lady~
'Shut it you fucking narrator! I had enough of things to deal with and I'm not gonna sit here and let you finish a word... sheesh, talk about being self-aware that you're inside a video game. Now im hearing the fucking narrator,'
(Ignore it, Hikaru sometimes it'll randomly appear now and then... It's basically a way to recap everything that ever happened in the story so far. Quite frankly I like it. I don't understand a single thing due to how complicated the plot of this game is)
'Ah, if you say so... then I won't interrupt it once it opens its mouth. But I kinda agree of with what it said. A lot of people are poking their hands where they shouldn't belong,'
Hikaru was minding his own business as he walked through the corridor and heard of a gossip or two. "Hey, hey, isn't that him? You know, that cheating prick who went against Sana Sama? I can't believe he'd shown his face around this school,"
Along the way, he saw a few male students cursing and even having a straw doll with his name. "Kuurgggh! Who the hell is he for getting close to the prodigy Suzu Chan? He's nothing but a good-for-nothing orphan,"
"You're right! I can't believe that bastard even gets to attend this school. Do you see how he dresses? What a fucking creep. It makes my skin crawl knowing a bastard like that is attending our school," Hikaru never once humored their remarks and simply went his way
Their words can easily make the faint-hearted cry and lose strength in their knees, but Hikaru was different.
'They're not even trying to piss me off. But I gotta say. Private bullies are such a disappointment. All they know is to bark and no fucking bite, the complete opposite of the ones I've met before. And it doesn't help that they look more of a loser compared to me, I feel sorry for their parents,'
With their constant bombardment of remarks, these people hadn't realized Kaoru's arrival and placed his arms around their shoulders. "Oh, that's news to me! You guys sure are good at spreading some shitty news... why the sudden silence? Go on, tell me more about it,"
The boys ran for their lives and in turn, Kaoru welcomed him back with a jolly old smile. "Welcome back buddy... im worried about you. You've been skipping school and getting injured whenever I wasn't looking... how the hell are ya gonna pass the exams?"
Hikaru scoffs and quickly extinguishes his worries. "You know you shouldn't be worrying about me. I'm hella smart. I'm more worried about whether I'll see you in my 2nd year... you barely pass the last quiz, and I can't even imagine you doing well on an exam,"
"Oh come on, I'll be taking over my parents in the near future... why the hell do I have to study what I won't even use in my life? For example, 'Calculus' where the fuck will I use that in managing a company?" The two shared some laughs and even added insults while they made their way to their class
On their arrival, they saw Karin making her way into the crowd and giving Hikaru a packet and said. "Thanks for teaching me how to cook even if it's a little. I'm returning this, I also made some tamagoyaki... next time, can you uh teach me how to fry some Karaage?"
Everyone had their jaw widened as the prickly blue flower in their midst had softened in Hikaru of all people. "Hey, Karin..."
She turns around and her blue silky hair waves around in a motion that entices many to glare and say. "What?"
"Thanks for sharing your meal! I'll make sure I'll eat plenty. Do you want to join me for lunch?" Hikaru brazenly replied
Everyone was expecting her temper to reach its limit and began lashing out at his arrogance. "I-Idiot! Why do you have to ask? Of course, I'll be joining you..."

Every one of them was in utter confusion by the sudden change in her mood and later came to their senses with the word of their teacher. "Okay, class back to your seat. We'll be reviewing for the upcoming quiz... make sure you pay attention,"

4 hours later
After a long day, Hikaru was off to his regular seat in the cafeteria, and suddenly. "It's time to talk about clubs..."
"Clubs?" Hikaru sat at their table without a clear understanding of what he'd heard from Higaki
"Ahem, I think the young master means to say are the clubs that are found within school grounds. It's been so long since you've lasted in school for so long without any form of accident. The young master was oddly curious to know what club you'll be joining~"
Kaoru hastily butts in and said. "Like Nana's brief explanation, are you interested in clubs, Hikaru? Are you interested in Karate? Or perhaps you'd be the indoorsy type like reading manga and watching some anime!"
Their current topic was bound to happen at some point, but for Hikaru, it was far too early for him to decide however. "I think I'll be joining the robotics club. I heard I'll get extra credit, plus their inventions are mindblowing~ What's that look on your face? It feels weird,"
Kaoru couldn't help but have a huge grin on his mug and he displayed it for all to see and say. "What a bummer. And here I thought I'd help Sana out... godspeed Hikaru! Make sure to win her heart,"
He gave a thumbs up and fled along with his maid, though he didn't expect it to be true, to think he'd become transparent. Due to how different Hikaru's schedule was with the prodigal genius Suzu Hanami, he wasn't able to see her for the longest time. Sana was a year ahead and yet her schedule was similar to the first year in this prestigious academy

2 hours later
(I can't believe this is the only day you're school has lightened your schedule)
'What do you expect? It's Friday. I did take an extra day off, but the studies weren't that hard to learn. Half of the day is its regular schedule as always and the afternoon is for club activities and whatnot. Just think of it as a break of sorts... humans are far too fragile both physically and mentally with that in mind breaks are a must,'
(Have you ever joined a club?)
'Not in my entire life. Clubs are just hobbies but they mostly tend to happen on school grounds for socializing. I didn't have time for clubs, but I was great at soccer and sometimes played basketball. That may have been the reason why im so popular back in my previous school,'
Hikaru along with the aide of Fazriel made their way to the numerous clubs that appeared from left to right. On their journey to the robotics clubs, these two individuals stumbled across a mysterious club. Like any other they've crossed before, they thought of avoiding until someone called for his name
"Hikaru Aoi. It's a pleasure to finally meet you at last... some may call this a coincidence but I call this fate. My divinations foretold of our encounter for this afternoon," A man dressed in black robes appeared before him holding a transparent orb and trinkets alike
"Uh, who the hell are you?" One look was enough and the figure suddenly flails around and cackles like a madman
"Ahahahahaha! Why this is a delight? My fortunes only tell the truth... you are fated to meet tons of love interests for it's the stars have destined it to be. I shouldn't take your time any longer than I have, off you go,"
Hikaru was rather curious about his words and before he lost sight, he asked for his name. "Who are you...?"
"My name...? It's but a mystery for I can't share my name, we diviners only use the titles given to us. My divination title is Sleeping Giant a being that stretches through infinity and the great beyond... bye for now,"
(What a strange person)
It wasn't long until Hikaru made his mark and finally entered the domain of one of the quirkiest heroines of all. "Hello, Suzu I came here to apply for the club~ Where is she? What's that? I've heard some noise over there,"
Hikaru walks near the last scene of the anomaly he discerns, what's more, it's the locker of all things. Judging by how intellectual the heroine Suzu Hanami truly was, Hikaru was frightened. What lies beyond the locker made him tremble for all he knew it could be anything of his wildest dreams
'Slow and steady wins the race, Slow and steady wins the race, Slow and steady wins the race... don't rush Hikaru. A lot of things ranging from failed experiments and a knockoff version of fnaf might be inside that locker. But this is Suzu we're talking about, she's still a human. No matter what's in this closet I shouldn't be scared, she's a sweet little kouhai that wouldn't do anything bad,'
His palms were sweating and he can feel the tension in the air whilst he slowly opened the locker up close. "H-How m-may t-this wise and knowledgable junior be of assistance?"
Though it wasn't anything as bad as he originally thought I'd be. Hikaru caught a glimpse of the academy prodigal genius cosplaying as a magical girl. His brain malfunctioned for a brief moment and taken a deep breath relaxing his body whilst placing a hand on her shoulder
"Suzu... I have no right to judge you, but can I ask you for a little favor? Can you please wear something less revealing?" He points out her kinky attire though it was normal in the anime, but in reality, it was far too indifferent
Suzu's eyes widened and tore up, and followed by her saying. "T-The magical girl has sullied the eyes of her senior... goodbye forever! I shall not live with this embarrassment,"
She opened the windows and planned on committing her end before she was ultimately stopped by Hikaru. "You idiot!!! Stop that immediately! Can't any of you heroines be any more normal? I just want a normal interactions for once, god damn it!!!"
