"How many days will you be in town?" asked Nathan.

  Kylie shrugged. "Until Reef's next scheduled check-up I guess. I'm here to accompany Reef home."

  "You care about him a lot. Too much so. I heard that you once dated Reef. Is that why you went to the trouble of picking him up?"

  "What exactly did you want to ask me, Nathan?"
