The surroundings were silent, and Nian Yuyu could only feel her heart racing, about to leap out of her chest.

She held back and got out of the car.

Chu You walked around the hood, naturally taking Nian Yuyu's arm with remarkable ease.

As they entered the elevator, both remained silent without speaking, a cozy warmth flowing with hints of ambiguity.

Nian Yuyu's body was stiff, watching the elevator numbers rise rapidly, and she could even feel the patch of skin where Chu You held her arm growing increasingly hot.

And yet, they were separated by several layers of clothing.

The elevator numbers jumped to thirteen, and the doors opened to the bright light of the corridor streaming in.

"We're here," a deep voice sounded by her ear.

Yuyu softly acknowledged and followed Chu You out of the elevator.

The corridor was broad and clean, one elevator serving two homes.

Chu You's home was on the right.

Nian Yuyu quietly sized up the surrounding environment, swallowing hard.
