"She is Reynard's Mom."

"What? Rena, Collins and Dennis exclaimed in unison. 

Esme sat with her back rested on the chair and her legs crossed. She had Selena on her lap and they both watched their stunned expressions.

"What did you say? 

"Do you really mean that?

"Reynard's Mom? All three of them asked respectively.

Esme didn't respond to their questions and she just sat there watching them but her mind had drifted to Reynard again. She was thinking of what his condition will be now. 

Why should he choose to stay back?

"Stop being bothered about Reynard, he'll be fine." 

Selena could tell that Esme was thinking about Reynard. Hence she thought to tell her the truth.

"How can you be so sure that he'll be okay? Don't you know how cunning and evil Lucifer can be?

"I know, and that is why I called his father out to help him."
