Capítulo 7: 7 The Donxiote Family
Noon, Lunch.
In the hills outside the Port Town.
A three storey building that is owned by noble before is somehow got in the hands of Doflamingo.
The Donxiote Manor.
(A/N: It's not in the series, but let's just add it, because it's not stated where they're base really is, when they're in Spider Miles.)
In a large hallway, Lawliet walks weakly leaning walls to walls pushing himself as he tries to support his body.
He's wearing a plain white shirt, and a plain black pants. He has a cast on his right arm, hanging in front of his chest, that is tied around his neck.
He's actually not that gravely wounded, except for his hand which is really partially burned, everything is alright in him.
But he is tired psychologically.
He's knockout for the whole day since yesterday, so he's actually already should recovered. But after he woke up after that dream or vision, he feels somehow tired and drained.
Besides him, helping him is Baby 5 who's supporting him.
"So... Since when did you join this Pirate group?" Lawliet asks, looking at Baby 5 who's supporting him with ease, trying to make some conversation to erase this awkward atmosphere which Baby 5 is simply immune to.
'I'm really weak.' He thought, looking at the little Loli who's supporting him since earlier that almost have the strength that can rival him by his estimation.
'I need to train and get stronger!' He thought, gripping hard his fist, as he remembered the existence of Kaido, Big Mom, and White Beard. Who have strength that can erase a whole country.
"Hmm? Maybe five or six years? Why?" Baby 5 asks back, totally already comfortable with him after the scene in the Clinic, which Lawliet simply asks Baby 5 to forget to, embarrass by what happened back there.
"Well, you're strong. I'm kinda weak you know, so I'm kinda curious how did you manage to get this strong." He truthfully stated.
All this time he's trying to look for a way to get stronger faster. He's willing to look for a short way like making a permanent strength amplifier serum, in which he failed since he lacked materials and equipment, and he's also willing to look for a long way like training.
But all he did in the past months are just barely working, that it only makes him stronger by a slight margin, that he feels that it's just a waste since he has a lot of pending projects.
So he's kinda curious about Baby 5 who seemingly has the strength that can rival his.
He knows fighting death battles can make you stronger faster than training. Since it can help you surpass bottlenecks. But he also did that by doing Batman jobs, yet he felt nothing is changing in his body in these past weeks, except for his instinct and predictions being more and more active like he's awakening his Haoshoku Haki.
In which, he seems to have a talent to.
"Well Lao G, and Diamante always train us, so it's given that we're strong. Although their kind of a bully." She said pouting, complaining about the unjust treatment of their seniors.
Lawliet seeing this, just smile at this.
'Cute!' He thought.
"But you're also strong Lawliet-nii, you managed to defeat Diamante, and Diamante is very strong you know?" Baby 5 said, praising Lawliet who only thinks right now how cute she was.
"But I'm more wounded than him in the end, right?" He said, pointing at his right arm which is burned like a charcoal because of the explosion.
"But at least your not bald, because he is bald which I think It's your win!" She said, stunning Lawliet on his place.
"He's bald?!" Lawliet asks shocked by what he heard.
'I'm dead, aren't I?!' He thought, imagining the Bald Diamante with his shining head, hacking him to bits, because of balding him.
"Yeah! You don't know?" Baby 5 asks, cutely. But Lawliet didn't notice this as he is already on in his panic state
"Shit!" He cursed.

A few minutes later, they arrived in front of the dining room, where Doflamingo called him.
There, the whole crew of the Donxiote Pirates are waiting, sitting at a long table eating their lunch in a chaotic manner like a chaotic family.
Of course Lawliet is not surprised by this scene, since he already knows from the series that Donxiote Pirates, or the Donxiote Family are like a family to each one of them, although their cruel and villainous to the others.
But, in the corner of the table besides Doflamingo who's sitting at the shorter side of the long table facing the door where he is standing.
A man with a shiny skin wearing a Captain's hat that he was sure that is bald under it, is staring at him with murderous gaze, like he wants to hack, slice and dice him, because of making him bald like that.
It's Diamante, with a new looks.
The towering Goliath that has the power to turn Fabric anything he touches, is staring murderously at Lawliet while munching his food, with hate and anger.
*Gulp!*
Lawliet unconsciously gulps, looking at this guy.
"Behehehe! Hey, hey Law are you alright? Corazon really did a number on you. Behehe!" Trebol, an ugly guy sitting next to Doflamingo said, looking at Law behind Lawliet who's entering the room mess, and full of bruise.
Law just looks at him with uncare, before he turned his head and looked at Corazon or also known as Rosinante with a dark and vengeful looks on his face, in which the later simply ignore like he's just a fart to him.
'Is he thrown by Rosinante again? Looks like it's a common thing to happened here?' Lawliet thought, looking at Law walking ahead of him to an empty sit.
"Stop mocking Law, Trebol. We have a guest." Doflamingo said, looking at Lawliet in front of the table.
"What's your name?" Doflamingo asks, pointing at Lawliet to an empty table.
"Lawliet." Lawliet simply replied, sitting in the empty chair Doflamingo pointed to. Then Baby 5 also sits next to him, after supporting him to the chair.
"Lawliet... You can eat, you're our special guest." Doflamingo said pointing at the food in front of Lawliet.
Of course, as a shameless person Lawliet didn't shame on food and immediately grab a slice of pizza that he notice since he arrived here earlier.
'They have pizza? Cool! Is this different from the pizza I know?' He randomly thought.
"So, Lawliet. . . Any plans in the future? What are you gonna do with those things that you made, I'm quite interested."
Lawliet thought about it, before he answered.
"I don't know! I don't have such thing as plans, but I have a bucket lists of things I wanted to do." He said resuming to devour the Pizza in his hands.
Then Lawliet remembered the vision he saw when he's unconscious.
"But now that I think about it, there's something that I wanted to know. So, yeah I have plans now." He said, grabbing a piece of meat in the table.
'Is this the favorite meat of Luffy, I didn't taste one now that I think about it, I hope this is delicious... Nahh! Of course this is delicious, don't doubt Luffy in terms of food.'
Hearing the reply of Lawliet, Doflamingo immediately thought about the things to make the guy join his crew.
If in the past, he's just considering this guy's potential and just curious about him if he's a talent to recruit or not on his crew, now it's different.
He saw Lawliet's invention. The shotgun, the taser, the grenade and all of it that has been made by Lawliet with just poor materials.
He's curious what can this guy make with more materials and proper equipment.
A Flying ship.
A Canon that can destroy islands.
Or, maybe Devil Fruits itself.
Thinking of these things, made Doflamingo ecstatic.
'He must joined my crew, at all cost!' He thought.
Right now, although he has a crew that can already fill out almost all of the position in a normal Pirate Crew, as a businessman, and a weapon broker he is still missing something.
An inventor, the one who's making an original products that can only be bought to him.
If he had an Original product that will make the Government and Nobles go crazy. then he was sure, he was certain that his status will certainly reach a new height and become more powerful.
Now seeing Lawliet's invention, he was sure he already found a perfect one for that spot.
"Lawliet, how about joining my crew? Did you think about it? I can help you with your plans, whatever that you want to look for, I can help you with it." He said grinning.
Lawliet thinks about it. This is what he wanted, this is what he planned to do before.
But right now, thinking clearly about it, is this what he really wanted?
If he joined this Crew, he needs to kill, and take lives of people. Although he's not a hypocrite who believes that everyone deserves to live and can change, he still believes that somehow some of them can really change, it's just that there's some who're not really deserving of it and deserve to die.
But, joining this crew. He was sure he needed to take the lives of innocent People, and he's really against it.
And his talent. One way or another, if Doflamingo manages to foresaw his ability to create a weapon of Mass destruction, he's afraid he will be forced to build something like this, because of how weak he is, or maybe Doflamingo will use a trick to him to convinced him.
But on the other hand, Materials and Equipment, he needs these things, and only Doflamingo or the Marine can give something like this to him.
Thinking about the pros and cons about joining this crew, Lawliet thought deeper and deeper. He never really thought about what his new goal was, in this new life of his.
Does he want to become the Strongest Man? No he doesn't.
Does he want to become the richest and most powerful man? No, he doesn't care about power, he just wants material for his inventions.
How about to become the Pirate King? Fuck is that-- Well, it looks kinda fun. But what will he get about that title? Enemy of the World? Fuck that!
Then what does he really want?
Before, all that drove him until now, is just his Bucket list. His list of things that he wanted to do.
Becoming a Batman.
Making the Batman name Famous.
. . .
'Wait a minute, There's still a ton of things that I wanted to do, yet this is the only thing that I managed to accomplish in these two months?!' He yelled at his mind.
Having an inner conflict, he thought again that it takes him several minutes that Doflamingo who's waiting for his answer, decided to add a carrot on the stick to make this guy, join him.
"Lawliet. Do you know the existence of Devil Fruit?" He asks.
Lawliet who's arguing with his inner self, looks at Doflamingo with a questioning gaze.
'What is this Guy asking?'
But, under his gaze, Doflamingo summoned five strings on his fingers and slap the air, where the furniture in the corner has been magically slash into six pieces.
"This, is the power of a Devil Fruit. I'm sure you saw me use it before, right? Joined me, and I will give you one." Doflamingo said looking at him with expectant gaze
Lawliet who remembered what happened before, shrink on his place as he saw how Doflamingo devilishly beheaded Asshol, before.
'Oh, the Poor Guy, how sad-- Anyway, now that Doflamingo knows my ability to invent things I'm sure he will use everything to make me join him, or even force me, so. . . Yeah! I have no more choice.'
'Maybe I'll go with them for some time, to train, and to leech some money and materials to them, until the time of Law and Rosinantes betrayal. Yeah, I'm going to start fucking the plot hahaha'
"Okay, I will join you. . ." Doflamingo is delighted to hear this.
"But, I have a request!" Lawliet said, making Doflamingo stop his celebration and frown, at his place.
"I want to know my past."

In one of the rooms in the Donxiote manor.
Lawliet entered, locked the door and jumped at the bed, with a tired look on his place.
He already joined the Donxiote Pirates.
But, he made a condition to them before he joined. And that's them will help him to discover his past, since he think it's really important and not just simple.
Of course, Doflamingo immediately agreed to this. It's not something dangerous that may hinder his plan, and overall it will help him to have some advantage against Lawliet if he knows something about his past.
But, did Lawliet know about this? Yes!
Does he care? No, It's just some advantage against him. He knows how cunning Doflamingo is, so if he doesn't give him something as an assurance, Doflamingo will always doubt him.
And either way, he was sure it will take a lot of time to really know what his past is. He tried to investigate about it before, yet he failed to discover something.
And if they did really discover something. Then thanks! Lawliet will just leave that problem to the future him.
'Don't think about the future problems, if it doesn't occur yet, leave it to the future you!' That's what he believes.
"Now, I'm in a turning point of my life. How should I plan my things" He said, looking at the ceiling with wondering look.
