A strong movement of his wings pushed him away as he articulated his leg to put the ball-shaped offspring into his mouth.
Something powerful and destructive formed as he missed it with his abyssal blood, puffing his chest, he unleashed a torrent a dark blue flames, the sheer pressure at which it was shot out sending both him and Superstes away from one another.
Without waiting for his fiery breath to cease, he began manifesting dozens of spawners and seeds of challenge around him, making them orbit around his body.
Blocking all his lines of sight with such an attack was dangerous now, since he no longer had any way of sensing the energies around him, a surprise extension of Superstes's all-cutting blade of gold would be completely unexpected for him.
Focusing even further than before, he awaited for the fire to subside as he flew around.
The heroine emerged from the flames with quickly healing burn marks, the corruption of the Abyss still not reaching her in the least.
Axiolypito rose even higher in the sky, and she gave chase without hesitation.
Slicing right through the spawned creatures he sent flying her way and evading the towers, she didn't allow him to get any time to prepare anything sly.
Grasping her weapon intensely, she thought of what she could do.
Whilst striking Axio with a killing blow would certainly be best, it had become clear that landing any clean hit on this guy was quite the tall order, if he hadn't been trying to strike her back, she wouldn't have scratched him at all during their last exchange.
The biggest advantage she had was that she still had tricks that could severely throw him off.
If she wasn't going to kill him with those blows, then she would harm him enough to force him to use his healing options, once he was out of those, slicing one of his legs should give her the maximum advantage.
'But how many of those things does he have? He hasn't brought back those antennae, so I can only guess that he doesn't have any other... Healing is quite important, he most certainly brought more than one, or did he not and has just been taking small hits as a bluff?' she frowned, unable to get a good grasp on how the monster's mind worked.
Axiolypito suddenly turned around, sending one of the spawners he had been keeping around for a while.
What he could now achieve in an instant with his abilities was simply magnificent, but what about when he gave himself time to truly prepare an attack?
The spawner he sent forward had been enhanced in two ways, these ways of using spawners used to be entirely exclusive to one another.
Which was to either favor quantity or quality, but for Axiolypito, who called himself a god, having to compromise wasn't necessary any longer.
Bursting from the spawner for multiple seconds were hundreds of falcons, each the peak of their species naturally and further enhanced by the Abyss.
These particular falcons were crowned as the animal capable of reaching the fastest possible speeds amongst its own kingdom.
Though, the speed they could reach was much inferior to Axio and needed them to be diving through the air, the sheer number of them meant that Superstes couldn't just avoid them all.
Axiolypito allowed dozens of other spawners enhanced in the same way to go off as he also dived, reaching the heroine before any of the birds.
As their faces were awfully close to one another, he suddenly moved right behind her back and activated two of his kinship techniques.
'Selflessness and Call To Arms!' he couldn't help but enjoy the thrill as the first offspring wrapped itself around his whole body like an armor, meanwhile, two other offsprings manifested in his hands, taking the form of two short, straight swords.
The handles still bore marks that they were living beings, making them quite the grotesque sight.
He was worse than an amateur with weapons of any sort, however, his overwhelming speed more than made up for that lack of expertise.
Unafraid of any damage, he made sure that one blade was always striking at Superstes's spear to prevent her from freely attacking, whilst the other was swung with the intent to kill.
In such close quarters, her enhanced perception and particles of gold were much less useful to help her dodge and predict his movements, this was exactly what she feared, that Axio would just rain down the attacks without stop and overwhelm her.
'Ah! So though!' Axiolypito could only marvel at how durable the emaciated-looking girl really was.
'This isn't her best?!' he somehow began to go even faster, not quite realising that he was surpassing his newfound limits.
The falcons were quick to arrive, rather than using their talons to strike like they normally would, they charged head first into Superstes's back, exploding into a flurry of dark blood and feathers.
Gritting her teeth, she pushed her body augmentation higher, the slashes barely cutting her anymore, though the charges of the falcons still stung harshly.
The spawners he had set off after the first one unleashed more falcons and various other winged animals, including a winged creature weighting over two hundred kilograms.
With all of the creatures killing themselves by blindly charging into the heroine, animals of various swiftness and weight coming from every angles, she couldn't keep steady.
Axio was winning their exchange without the shadow of a doubt, although she was taking much less damage than one could possibly expect, it was piling up and using up the healing factor of the golden energy, if it kept up, she would lose one of her biggest advantages.
Waiting for a small instant during which neither Axiolypito or one of his spawned creatures were striking, she unleashed a usage of her powers she had yet to demonstrate.
'Golden Burst' a small shockwave exited her body, pushing away the incoming attacks.
Axiolypito was more than taken aback for Golden Burst carried a reduced effect of Golden Glow, he was Kinship was momentarily weakened intensely just like his own movements seemed sluggish for a small instant.
Shifting her spear into a dagger, Superstes was able to strike faster than expected, knowing that the effect of Golden Burst were far inferior to Golden Glow, she didn't aim for the head.
Axio would be able to contort his neck and evade, instead, she stabbed him straight in the chest, the blade extending and widening as it pierced his body, nearly bisecting him.
He was able to flung himself back as he recuperated his full capacities.
