Capítulo 118: Options
The sharp cuts on his flesh that had pierced right through his abyssal mantle bled lightly despite how deep some of them appeared.
The one laser that had slashed off his ear was the one that had dealt the most damage, impacting his hearing, with both ears either missing or half gone, the way he heard things was quite different and he felt like his balance had been impacted for an instant.
Had it not been for the fact that he could pretty much dodge on instinct even if deprived of all of senses, had it been anyone but himself, that flurry of laser would have dealt much more damage and probably killed them.
Not many could even survive inside of his zone anyways, the Old Hadal King knew this very well.
"It is unfortunate that my heart won't forgive you, you are a truly unique creature, your future is brighter than most" complimented the king, before all of these events, before he had founded his kingdom in this underground depth, he had faced many trials and tribulations.
He had had to face off against enemies much stronger than himself, better mages, mighty beasts that could overtake him by speed alone, he had always come out on top and from every single encounter, his magic became more refined and he weaved new spells.
All of his magic was self-taught, there had been little intelligent life willing to cummunicate when had first come to Lordlorn, arriving here before the other continents even learned of its existence and thus, far ahead the troop of nameless.
Back then, the surface was somehow even more harrowing than the deep sea, probably because of his proficiency with water and its inhabitants, but also because a great monster ruled over the continent when he had gotten there.
Axiolypito and this monster seemed to have nothing in common but he couldn't help but link them together, his impression of the both of them was similar.
Special and aware of it, yet unable to do as they envisioned.
This ruler had disappeared in between the time the king left for the depth and when the first colonisers arrived, nobody was even aware that a king of monster had been born in isolation and had died without ever expanding further than his own birthplace.
A tragedy, the Old Hadal King felt like this was what awaited Axiolypito as well.
"You can always let me leave, I am sure we can reach an agreement without having to fight" responded Axio, if possible, he really didn't want to have to continue this, he was at an immense disadvantage and the options he came up with in case he did have to continue this battle, they didn't seem like simple plans.
"I shall not" the king made himself clear, speaking calmly.
'Alright then...' everything seemed to slow down to a crawl as all of Axio's ideas appeared in his mind.
Option one: The valiant and handsome monster will somehow find the strength to defeat the Old Hadal King all by himself!
Improbable to the maximum, in other words, nothing but wishful thinking coming from the warp mind of a certainly not pretty little creature.
Option two: Axiolypito will make use of his endless charisma and convince the king to not fight after all!
Similarly unlikely, the king is ready to fight and not a stupid opponent, the man has nothing to lose anymore, he can only fight for his fallen friend and his lost love, Axio has no understanding of those reasons and thus, will never manage to persuade his opponent.
Option three: Axiolypito will reach out to the crystal of Mov and one of his bretren will come to his assistance!
Counting on these guys to show was much like hoping to be struck by a meteor, but survive without any injury, they aren't reliable.
Option four:

Axiolypito burst from his position with terrific speed, the pillars had been cut but so thinly and precisely that they still stood as if nothing had happened.
He climbed up, pretty much ignoring the spells flying his way as he made it to the ceiling and to the object of his interest.
The Old Hadal King had understood his aim the moment he had moved toward a pillar, he had suspected this to be a possibility since the very start but the monster had done nothing to indicate that it was on his mind, not even glancing in its direction.
Either this had been the plan all along or he just thought of it at the moment, the king didn't even know whether it was possible or not for Axio, he had much intel but nothing could tell him with certainty whether he could accomplish this feat.
Axiolypito was rushing toward the inanimate venerer, he also didn't know whether or not it would function.
He had no time to think about it too deeply as it was all he had left right now.
He could absorb and inject his Abyss into beings and things that were already infected or carrying it in the first place, this was supposedly an abyssal venerer, even if it seemed to be lacking any trace of it at the moment, it had once held it.
A dome of the murderous condensed water began forming around the hanging body of the pseudo apostle, Axio placed one palm against the torso of the faceless beast, the dome closing in around his arm but dispelling instantly as a wave Abyss dismantled the spell.
Waving his staff, the king destroyed the dark just in time to see the creature touch the ground, its body back to its original darkness, dark blue smoke rising from its skin as it moved its blank head to face him.
On its back, Axiolypito was holding on with a crazed-looking smile on his face, not believing that it worked.
Slamming the end of his staff on the ground, the king stood ready, he had once faced this creature and come out victorious without much issue, however, it wasn't alone this time.
The venerer's head split open in the middle, its entire head seemingly jaws as it howled at the ceiling, shaking the room.
