Jiang Xu opened his mouth and didn't know how to reply. He felt that Jiang Wenrui was a little different today, but he couldn't tell what was different. In the end, he could only leave dejectedly.

Jiang Wenrui stared at Xing Su for a while. His long eyelashes drooped slightly, and his voice was very light as he asked, "When you saved him, did you think about the consequences?"
Xing Su moved her numb waist and replied nonchalantly, "I've thought about it. In any case, the worst case scenario is that both of us are gone. After saying that, Xing Su raised her chin and looked at Jiang Wenrui proudly.

The door of the ward behind her was pushed open. A nurse walked in from outside and did a simple checkup on Xing Su. After ensuring everything was normal, she smiled and said to Xing Su, "Impressive. You didn't even say a word even though you are so seriously injured. You're the bravest patient I've ever seen."
Xing Su smiled. How could it not hurt? It was just that she was used to enduring.
The nurse helped Xing Su change the IV drip. Then, she glanced at Jiang Wenrui and whispered into Xing Su's ear, "Your boyfriend is so handsome and treats you well. He was watching over you last night…"
