Tang Yin still had 2 hours remaining within the plate he had received from the guard. He did not want to waste even a minute, he went to the first floor and searched for another book which would broaden his horizons.
Tang Yin spent a good 15 minutes searching for the book he had in mind before he found it. The book was named 'Bright Yang Continent'. It was quite a straightforward name, but this was the reason he had chosen the book.
Tang Yin had familiarized himself with the cultivation world, but he had not done so with the True Martial World. He needed to know the geographical layout of the world as well as the powers that ruled over it.
Tang Yin went straight back to the 2nd floor and back to his original seat. He immediately opened the book and started sweeping through it. The book was not as thick as the Basics of Cultivation, he reckoned he could finish reading it before his time ran out.
According to the book, the True Martial World was split into 2 main continents. These 2 continents were known as Bright Yang Continent and Dark Yin Continent, currently, Tang Yin was located within a remote corner in the south of the Bright Yang Continent.
There were an Innumerable number of sects, families, kingdoms, empires and clans scattered across the Bright Yang Continent. No one knew how big the Bright Yang Continent really was, some cultivators had tried to find out but had died before they could do so.
Since there were too many families and organisations within the Bright Yang Continent, someone had come up with a ranking system, all families and organisations were categorised into a certain rank depending on their strength.
If a family/organization had a Physique Transformation Realm cultivator as their strongest cultivator, they would be known as a Rank 1 family/organisation.
If a family/organization had a Spirit Vein Condensation Realm cultivator as their strongest cultivator, they would be known as a Rank 2 family/organisation.
If a family/organisation had a Qi Transformation Realm cultivator as their strongest cultivator, they would be known as a Rank 3 family/organisation.
If a family/organization had a Spirit Ascension Realm cultivator as their strongest cultivator, they would be known a Rank 4 family/organization.
In Maple Leaf City, the Mo family was a Rank 2 family because their Patriarch was at the 1st stage of the Spirit Vein Condensation Realm. The Nie and Shan families were both Rank 1 families as their patriarchs were both at the peak of the Physique Transformation Realm.
Tang Yin had truly come to realise how clueless he was a few hours ago. Maple Leaf City was just a random backwater city that nobody had heard of. He had come to understand that he was just a frog in a well who thought the opening of the well was the sky. He had come to realise how insignificant he was compared to the Bright Yang Continent, let alone the True Martial World.
'One day, I will make the True Martial World bow down to me.' The desire to become stronger planted itself deep inside his heart. 'I want to control my own life and death, instead of leaving it in the hands of fate like my father'. The desire to become stronger kept burning stronger and stronger until it filled every inch of his being.
'I have to become stronger quickly and get my revenge on the Shan family, so I leave this remote backwater city and discover a whole new world' Tang Yin left this reminder in his mind. He had heard many rumous about the Shan family's patriarch being at the peak of the Physique Transformation Realm. There were too many different rumors about his Martial Spirit though, one rumor claimed it was an Azure Dragon, another claimed it was a Blazing Lion, there were countless rumors'.
This did not matter to Tang Yin though, when he got stronger, he would just go find out right before he would kill the Shan family's patriarch.
Tang Yin continued reading the book, it did not mention anything else about the Bright Yang Continent, nor did it even mention the Dark Yin Continent a second time. The rest of the book mainly talked about the local powers surrounding Maple Leaf City.
Tang Yin found this information useful as he could choose his next destination more accurately after he had exacted his revenge.
One thing that was mentioned in the book left Tang Yin slightly surprised. The author of the book had written down his thoughts, most of it was gibberish but one stood out and resonated with Tang Yin. The author of the book speculated that the Spirit Ascension Realm was not the final cultivation realm for cultivators, and that there might in fact be even more cultivation realms which existed after the Spirit Ascension Realm.
This was blind speculation from the author's side, but Tang Yin knew he had blindly guessed right. From the clues provided by the Heaven Devouring Abyssal Sanskrit, Tang Yin had deduced that there were more cultivations realms after the Spirit Ascension Realm.
