Police catch the thief
The shareholders meeting was going on when the Chairman's phone rang. His personal assistant went outside the room to take the call. After a while he came in and whispered to the Chairman. The Chairman's eyes met with Joshua's. Immediately after the meeting, The manager,Joshua, went to meet the chairman.
" Dad, is anything the matter ?"
" I think someone is pointing the triggers at your brother"
" I don't get it, who dares try such stupid thing. Who on Earth is it ?"
" I know you're worried about your brother but focus on work for now, we will discuss this at home for now he's safe".
CEO James can't help but worry about Jackson. He couldn't wait for Jackson to come back home himself, he had to drive to Jackson's school.
Later that same day during dinner, he brought up the topic.
" Jackson, what exactly happened?"
" Daddy it's was a little comotion in school but am okay"
" Are you sure you're okay?"Joshua asked.
"Yes bro"
Chairman James left the house later on. He met the police and launched an investigation for the murder attempt of his second son.
Vivian and her friends were trying hard on their own part.
" Vivian why don't you ask Clouds"
" I know clouds very well, She won't give us a direct answer"
" Why don't you give it a trial at least" Jackson said.
Vivian went into her room, chatted some incarnation and asked Clouds questions regarding Jackson's attempted murder. After consulting the goddess, Vivian called them together to tell them the answer Clouds had given her.
" She said the person is someone we know"
" That's means it's the Sports teacher"
" Even though he is our prime suspect, he seems to be working for someone" Vivian
" Shouldn't we put him behind bars" Sophia said
" That is definitely a good idea maybe he would confess in jail.
Unlike the poor, rich and well respected people in the society usually receives first hand treatment from government officials. The police therefore concentrated on finding who used the sports teacher to attack Jackson. The sports teacher was arrested and interrogated. While Sophia and Vivian were trying solve the puzzle when Jackson came in with some goodies.
" Here, let's eat something before cracking up these brains of ours" Jackson said and placed the food on the table. After having their lunch, they began the own method of investigation.
" Let's play 'Police catch the thief ' that way,we might figure something out ". Sophia suggested.
The game ' Police catch the thief ' is a game that involves more than two players. It is a card game where the person with the police card would guess who has the thief card while other players may have the king's card, the Queen's card, Doctor's card and soon on, depending on how many people playing the game. Vivian distributed the cards between the the three of them.
" Whose the police ?" Vivian asked immediately she took her card . Everyone checked their card.
" I am " Sophia replied.
" Then catch the thief " Jackson said.
" When you want to catch a thief, you would suspect everyone. Like we are suspecting everyone that knows about Jackson's illness including our classmates. Everyone may look innocent like Jackson or suspicious like Vivian. I will be betting my all in chatching the thief. So now who is it ?"
" So instead of picking the most suspected we rationally investigate everyone who knows about my illness".
"Bingo"
" At this point we should look into people who has grudges with him" Vivian said.
" Yeap, before picking the thief, I will do something"
" What's that ?" Jackson asked.
" Here" She stared at them and finally placed her card on Jackson's desk.
" You're the thief Jackson"
"Me ?"
" Show your card man, I'm the King though" Vivian said
" Yes, I am but how did you figure out that I was the one ?"
" Easy, look when you're dealing with human beings, they are bound to reveal themselves without knowing because they can get nervous, or feel guilty. You can as well use something precious to lure them out to yourself"
" Like a fish that took a bait right?"
"Yes"
" You should probably give up on becoming a doctor and consider an investigator" Vivian teased.
They ended up laughing it out.
"Jackson remember even at home, don't trust anyone till we figure out the real criminal "
" Okay"
Mr. J visited the sports teacher at the detention room before his interrogation.
" How are you ?" He asked
" How did you expect me to be when you knew how risky it is to do this kind of thing to the Chairman's favorite son according to you " the sports teacher Nduka said.
" I knew the risk but your carelessness brought you here"
" Are you trying to blame me here ?"
" Well am sorry that your are going through this but I still need you to finish the job"
" What do you mean by that ?"
" Take the fall for everything"
" Are you mad or something?"
" You don't expect me to get exposed because of your mistake"
" What exactly is my mistake here, Mr. Nduka asked
" I told you not to use force or threat on him. He was raised a pampered boy who does what he wants"
" Exactly my point, how else am I supposed to beg him when he refused on first proposal"
"You could have lure him. Maybe on the D-Day you will beg him to fill for emergency or something. Anyway the deed has been done. You have to tell the police you did it on your own accord if you want your family in one piece. I will get you out after three months"
" Are you threatening me"
" It's not like you have any evidence against me and you will spend more time here if you accuse me of the crime everyone saw you committing".
With that Mr. J left the detention center.
The following day, Mr. Nduka confessed to do it on his own.
